I was writing so well before they announced the FEFW DLC and now I can't lock in anymore. But at least, I managed to write a little more of chapter two of my #Dimilix vampire fic. One less week until FE Vampire Weekend! #WipWednesday

Snippet of Chapter Two of my Dimilix vampire fic. "Felix is thankful for his reflexes, one of the advantages the curse of Fraldarius affords him. They allow him to dodge his opponents' blades by mere millimetres and to find even the smallest of openings in their defences. He feels how the ground shakes under the hooves of a great knight's steed just seconds before he slashes the horse's legs, sending its rider tumbling down. He hears the strum of a bow string just in time to get out of the trajectory of an arrow before conjuring Thoron as a counterattack. He parries an enemy axe and is ready to cut its wielder in retaliation. One by one, they fall to his sword and they become a pile of corpses the flames of the valley will claim soon. The last of them dies as blood spills from the wound Felix's fangs have inflicted on their throat. Victorious, Felix drinks the hot, scarlet liquid, allowing himself a quiet moan of relief as the ever burning thirst is quenched for now and warmth seeps back into his limbs. "

The first show of the year was always an odd vibe. Winter cons were always a wash for the month or two around the holidays, anyway, and a month of hiding in the Hokkaido woods meant Zoro had no fucking idea what was happening in… Topeka? Or was this Omaha? Fuck, this was probably Houston. He shouldn’t tell anyone he confused south Texas with the Midwest or he’d get shot.
Still, this nondescript concrete box he was trapped in for the weekend could be anywhere in America that had air conditioning and the right grease with the city planning committee twenty-five years ago. He trudged past black-skirted folding tables and temporary privacy curtains, checking out the names hung on the back rods to see who would force him to get dinner this weekend while Helmeppo muttered at his phone beside him. Ugh, if Moria was here that meant Perona was here. He’d absolutely left the shit he got her in Japan on his couch. Law, which meant Luffy was going to be insufferable. Fucking Buggy. Kaya looked up and waved at him as she laid out Usopp’s prints on his table. Did he have all new ones? Christ, where did he get the time-
Zoro froze, staring at the white strip of cardboard between the overdesigned personal branding banners and CelebWorx graphics. “Since when did the fucking cook start doing cons?” he asked the universe.
Helmeppo paused in his muttering. “Who?” Zoro grunted and jerked his chin at the fucking sign. Helmeppo frowned at it. “Uh – right, him. Since he got divorced and moved to LA last month, I guess.” Zoro swiveled to look at him like a broken animatronic. Helmeppo made one of his faces. “Didn’t you hear about that? It’s all Luffy’s been talking about for, like, a month.”
Zoro stared at the ‘Sanji Vinsmoke’ placard with the energy of a turtle crossing an interstate. “Great,” he drawled. “Fantastic.” He turned away. “I’m going to kill him.”

I have many #WIPWednesday projects in motion, too many, IMO. However, I think this blue and grey hat might be done soon (today?). The pink #divahat is a test knit that's going to take a little longer.

A hat, masquerading as a cowl in this picture, knitted in charcoal and light blue. The charcoal brim is topped with a Greek key pattern and stars above. The light blue will be the top.

A pink triangle with branching lace that is the top of the Diva Hat (pattern release may be soon, I'm told). It's a fun pattern, especially now that I'm getting used to it. Every row has something to think about, so it's absorbing - probably not a social knit for me, though.
