@bernardjkd.bsky.social#WelcomeToNightVale Podcast 109 cont'd.
Why are the writers tidying up a non-existent problem? WTNV's unique strength is that it's contradictory hokum. Trying to box every differeht entity together as having the same background is just self vandslism. It sounds even worse in the finished ep.
@bernardjkd.bsky.social#WelcomeToNightVale Podcast 109 cont'd.
Crazy world building. Remember RTD tried to harmondise all the large scale Doctor Who villains into one pantheon. This tries the same.
Also seemingly they are going full 2010's with a fucking Multiverse too.
If this weren't a walkthrough I'd jump off here.
@bernardjkd.bsky.social#WelcomeToNightVale Podcast #109 "A Story About Huntokar" (01-Jun-17)
A jumping off point. WTNV is deliberately illogical as it's an amalgamation of ideas from different influences. This ep tries to square peg all its clashing ideas into one mythology square hole.
@bernardjkd.bsky.social#WelcomeToNightVale Podcast 108 cont'd.
OK me missing the marriage of the main character shows WTNV isn't getting my full attention. LOL, sorry WNTV but still kind of funny.
I'm worried WTNV is gonna start doing multiverse stuff. OMG 2010's F you for that lazy trope but WTNV is copycat fiction.
@bernardjkd.bsky.social#WelcomeToNightVale Podcast #108 "Cal" (15-May-17).
Sometimes the fault is with me. Some way in Cecil says he and Carlos are married? Like I don't even remember that as a thing in a prior pod. Maybe it was when I was gardening listening to a few and I got tired?

@bernardjkd.bsky.social#WelcomeToNightVale Bonus Podcast #8 "Ghost Stories" (12-May-17).
I can't find this but I presume it is one or more of the bonus tracks that were already on the BandCamp purchase I made. That had 9 bonus tracks so this was one or more of them combined?
@bernardjkd.bsky.social#WelcomeToNightVale Live Show 106.5 cont'd
Not my favourite live show. The gag that each ghost story was not a ghost sory wore thin.
Sheriff Sam so needs to be Poochied out of Night Vale. The Yank writers cearly thought they'd be so cool by bringing in a Brit character but Sam is just unusable.
@bernardjkd.bsky.social#WelcomeToNightVale Live Show #106.5 "Ghost Stories" (01-May-17).
This next live show is just $5 on BandCamp. Seems to have the two hours that was advertised too.
Review: soon.
@bernardjkd.bsky.social#WelcomeToNightVale Podcast #107 "The Missing Sky" (01-May-17).
An alternate history ep where we see what might've been Night Vale if something hadn't happened 4 years ago.
I think this refers to Podcast #1 maybe but I don't remember those early podcasts in any way?
@bernardjkd.bsky.social#WelcomeToNightVale Podcast #106 "Filings" (15-Apr-17).
I thought they were going places with Karim but no he's seemingly gone.
Cecil finds his younger self. The angel stuff isn't interesting me too much currently but maybe it is going somewhere.
@davidrisney.infosec.exchange.ap.brid.gyThe news anchor throws to a press conference but after some time has to cut in to explain the press conference audio is inexplicably the sound of swarming bees.
This is the most real life Welcome to Night Vale news report I've seen.
@bernardjkd.bsky.social#WelcomeToNightVale Podcast #105 "What Happened at the Smithwick House" (01-Apr-17).
I wanted to like this self contained ep but WTH way was Cecil pronouncing Smithwick? I thought it was a joke that would be pointed out by another character but no. So annoying.
@bernardjkd.bsky.social#WelcomeToNightVale Podcast 104 cont'd.
The other guest voice is Steve Carlsberg.
Honestly I still can't remember old woman Josie's involvement in the early eps.
Note sure who the woman at the end was? Trailer for a different podcast maybe?

@bernardjkd.bsky.social#WelcomeToNightVale Podcast #104 "The Hierarchy of Angels" (15-Mar-17).
Great title but the ep doesn't match up to that intriguing title.
The Italian Lady is back as expected from Podcast #39 being repeated recently.
I now expect Tamika Flynn to vanquish her as she was in the other repeated ep.
@bernardjkd.bsky.social#WelcomeToNightVale Podcast #103 "Ash Beach" (01-Mar-17).
Not much to this one. Mostly self contained.
No guest voices alas.
@bernardjkd.bsky.social#WelcomeToNightVale Donor Bonus 2 cont'd.
As per my walkthrough rules I may skip if the expense isn't worth it. What I will likely do is sign up on Patreon when I reach the very last Donor Bonus ep and listen back to them all then. Currently there are 20 Donor Bonus eps, the last being in 2023.
@bernardjkd.bsky.social#WelcomeToNightVale Donor Bonus #2 "City Council Meeting" (24-Feb-17).
Not sure I can rip the audios for these Donor Bonus eps were I sign up to the WTNV Patreon. Else I could just sign up, rip all the donor bonus ep and quit in the oner. So it'd cost me too much to stay signed up for months.
@bernardjkd.bsky.social#WelcomeToNightVale Podcast #102 "Love Is a Shambling Thing" (15-Feb-17).
This tries to do a bit of fun around St Valentine's Day but didn't work. Needed to have a couple in it.
Show don't tell audio writers, show don't tell.
@bernardjkd.bsky.social#WelcomeToNightVale Podcast #101 "Guidelines for Disposal" (01-Feb-17).
I did three runs up to the dump today so this ep kind of fitted in as it was about the dump guidelines in Night Vale and little else besides. A rare bit of synchronicity between myself and WTNV.

@bernardjkd.bsky.social#WelcomeToNightVale Podcast #28 "Summer Reading Program" (15-Jan-17).
Another re-release. Was this Tomeka Flynn's first ep?
I guess Tomeka and The Woman from Italy are going to be featuring the next run of eps? Else why re-release these two eps in particular?
