A rather Thomsonesque 1880s tenement on the corner of Great Western Road and Oakfield Avenue in the West End of Glasgow. The recessed corner and the roundels on the first floor lintel are straight out of the 'Greek' Thomson playbook.

Ok but what if the laughter is how you get to the tears, Pam?? ๐ฅบ
... has a nice lazy day with Kena, they make out and nothing bad happens ๐ฅฒ
#Tenement:
Noah would probably write a scene where he discovers a secret passage that leads him to Oz, and his mom is there waiting for him ready to spill all the secrets of the Tenement... and that's where he'd get stuck ๐
Tiling at the entrance to a tenement close in the Battlefield area of Glasgow. I especially like the craquelure on the central decorative tile.

An 1860s blonde sandstone tenement on the corner of London Road and James Morrison Street in the Calton area of Glasgow. I particularly like the attic windows between the chinmeys on the one.

The Coplaw Street facade of the Govanhill branch of the Glasgow Savings Bank, with tenement flats above what was originally the ground floor banking premises. Designed by J.C. McKellar, it was built in 1903.

There are so few surviving fragments of old Pollokshaws left, that this beautiful turn of the 20th century corner tenement on Riverford Rd qualifies despite being a "modern" addition to the 17th century weaving village.
Ok well, I did already post the song I think of for the ending of #Tenement on Day 13 (see below), but there's a vocal version of it too that I imagine playing over the closing credits ๐ฅนโค๏ธ
MERCY by Muse for Noah/Mortimer from #Tenement.
It could be seen as "Noah vs Mortimer," but I think it also fits as something they'd both sing at different points. Noah AND Mortimer vs the Tenement. One lost the battle; the other is still fighting.
Red sandstone Glasgow tenements in the sunshine.

Glasgow's first bank, it was founded by Andrew Buchanan of Drumpellier, after whom the city's Buchanan Street was named, and some of the other city's Tobacco Lords to bank the fortunes they made from the slave plantations of Virginia.

The Old Ship Bank Building on the corner of Saltmarket and Bridgegate in Glasgow. Built in 1904, it's named after the Ship Bank, which first opened on this site in 1750.

I'll be selling this and other Glasgow-themed calendars at a pop-up stall at the St Enoch Centre on Saturday, but if you can't make it, you can also buy them from my website at: www.thisismyglasgow.com/product-cate....
A few people have been asking what my calendars look like inside, so here's the one featuring art nouveau tiles from Glasgow tenements.

This one I imagine sung to Noah from an important character in #Tenement, but who is a spoiler. If any of my Tenement conspiracy theorists find this, they'll have some ideas of who I mean ๐โค๏ธ

Missed a few days but I'm back!
For #Tenement, I have a few kind of eerie, unsettling instrumental tracks in my playlist. Let's go with this one from THE GREEN KNIGHT ost because it really hits that escalating unease & tension:
