Now streaming on Crave: Alex Garland's Civil War, with Kirsten Dunst, Cailee Spaeny, and Nick Offerman. Carsten says it's a chilling vision of a country in chaos:

New on Netflix: Wicked, with Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, and Jeff Goldblum. Too sweet and too long, says Carsten, but thoughtful:

Carsten Knox reviews Pressure, with Andrew Scott, Brendan Fraser, and Kerry Condon. Stodgy D-Day drama grips, too:

In the end, your mileage may depend entirely on how much you appreciate the shopworn genre of potboiling Second World War dramas and their accompanying cliches. Carsten's Pressure review:

Pressure's suspense is well-churned, says Carsten, and the performers carry that suspense — plenty here for the thesps to get their teeth into. His review:

Huge credit for making Pressure so watchable can be lain at the feet of Andrew Scott, who you suspect could turn a lump of coal into a diamond if you shoved it between his buttocks, says Carsten:

Carsten Knox reviews Redux Redux, with Michaela McManus, Stella Marcus, and Jeremy Holm. An unheralded but exemplary sci-fi actioner:

Pressure is an entirely obvious, predictable movie (especially if you know your history) with some painfully risible dialogue, says Carsten. That said, it's also undeniably entertaining, even emotional:
