“Randy and I were just beginning to get things going real good. I don’t think the music world really fully appreciated the fact of Randy’s talent. He was incredible, he could do anything.”

A gift for BlueSky for tonight.

Ozzy Osbourne – Crazy Train - 1980

Trivia: This track's signature riff is written in 'F# minor', a more melancholic but aggressive key, rather than standard metal keys like A, E or D minors.

Hard to believe I bought this copy 45 years ago and played it a million times. "Blizzard of Ozz" not only made #OzzyOsbourne the first name in heavy metal but introduced #RandyRhoads to the world. Still no skips or scratches!

LABEL: Jet Records JZ 36812 ©1980
GENRE: Metal

A little work in progress to two tracks from #BlizzardOfOzz while I draw #RandyRhoads (5 days and counting today) Not sure when I'll be finished, it's hit a tough part, the fret board of a Gibson guitar.
