@brendan-devine.bsky.socialEmma Sears gets the call up for October camp and two matches against FIFA #1 Spain. With World Cup qualifying happening at the end of November, one has to think this is a very big camp for the #RacingLou forward to show what she can bring to the team against elite competition.

@brendan-devine.bsky.socialHead Coach Bev Yanez spoke after the match about how giving up goals coming out of the half makes it difficult for the team to actually implement the changes they talk about at half. There isn't concern about an overload of information or players getting cold.
@brendan-devine.bsky.socialFour the fourth time in the last five matches Racing has conceded a goal in the opening minutes of the second half.
@brendan-devine.bsky.socialHalftime in Louisville. Racing has had some chances including a goal called back but in many ways this is reminiscent of last month. SD sat back for 15-20 minutes, let Racing push, and slowly increased pace and pressure as the half went on.
@brendan-devine.bsky.socialLots of changes to the starting XI for #RacingLou. Sears back to the bench after a lackluster game against Bay, Rachel Hill gets her second start in lavender, and Macey Hodge returns to the midfield.

@brendan-devine.bsky.social#RacingLou falls 2-0 on the road against Bay to extend their losing streak to 5 matches. Racing is the first team in NWSL history with multiple, separate 5 game losing streaks in the same season. 3rd place San Diego comes to town next.
@brendan-devine.bsky.social#RacingLou Head Coach Bev Yanez after Racing's 2-0 loss to Bay: "We cant stop, we have to continue, and we have to keep fighting."
"We haven't had a good season. We know that. We're aware of that"
Lots of discussion about mental attitude and how they want to be viewed and view themselves.

Genuinely difficult to find positive take aways when Racing gives up an early 2nd half goal for the 3rd time in 4 matches.
@brendan-devine.bsky.socialRacing is lucky to be even at the half. Bay has dominated nearly every aspect of this game and has outshot Racing 13-2. It feels like Racing is struggling to stay on sides when they do get possession in Bay's half. Gonna need to make halftime adjustments
