So, I cut the first set of strips down to 10.5" lengths, sewed them 5 at a time into squares, trimmed them to 10.25", and started cutting them into triangles. Once I get the second strip trimmed, washed, cut down, and sewn/cut again, I can look at how to arrange them. #quiltsky #scrappyquilt #quilt

I finally finished binding that large Wave Sunset Art Quilt. I was working on a few art quilts at the same time over a period of about 3 weeks.

Sat down to work and was hit with the biggest declutter, clean, and organize wave. Several hours later I am done and celebrating by lying on the (now dust and thread free) floor and desperately ignoring the five bags of trash that I have to haul down three flights of stairs. #quiltsky

WIPWednesday #Quiltsky! Working on the border for the NMAI quilt. Mountains are done. Took a bit longer as I didn't have brown yardage, was working with jelly roll fabric. Will cut spacers based on mountain height (I never trust my 1/4inch seams) & sew from there.

It works great! Scrap Tape by the Gypsy Quilter. I trimmed the excess down to the sides of the tape, then rinsed the fabric. It took a few seconds to start dissolving, but it did. Make sure you rinse it out completely. It's ironed and ready to use. #quiltsky #scrappyquilt #scraptape #makingfabric

"Overheard" by Laura Rafey was a challenge for her. She had been intimidated by foundation paper piecing and decided that, once and for all, she would learn this technique. And, boy did she ever, this crow is great.

While fabric shopping, I found some Scrap Tape to help you turn 3" +/- bits of fabric into 2.5" wide strips. I sewed the entire 25 yds today. I will get them trimmed, then soak then to dissolve the tape. Let's see how this turns out. #scraptape #quiltsky #make2.5inchfabric #scrappyfabric #makeitup
