I #pray 2da frm #Psalm 111.10: Begin r #wisdom wth fearing U, dear #Christ! Does it help u make sense of fearing #Jesus tht the NRSV #Bible notes define "#fear of #God" as reverence or obedience? As I anticipate making ths my #prayer 2da, I feel humble. Tht strikes me as a good place 2 start. #PCUSA

#Psalm 23:4 reads, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”

What defines a Christian? Many things but I think there are 3 key points.

I #pray 2da frm #Psalm 108.2: Wake us, dear #Christ! So much effort dedicated 2 making "woke" a nasty pejorative in recent times: Ugh. I'll embrace it, making ths my #prayer 2da. & I'll feel #Jesus answer me as I sink in2 the beauty of Bach's music. Join me? #PCUSA www.youtube.com/watch?v=JY6O...

I #pray 2da frm #Psalm 107.29: Still r storms, dear #Christ! Where r the storms challenging u, making ths ur #prayer, 2? R they internal or external or both? 4 me, they're both & they mix 2gether. Rembrandt captures my feelings, my need 4 #Jesus 2 help. Wht'll He send 2 still urs? #PCUSA #faithful

I #pray 2da frm #Psalm 106.44: Regard r distress, dear #Christ! I feel the psalmist's respect 4 #God in the #Bible here, embedded in ths observation; God's regard is a massive thing. Wth tht same humility, I #hope, I'll watch 4 #Jesus' response 2 my #prayer--how He'll gently tend 2 us. #PCUSA #love

“Be still, and know that I am God.” - Psalm 46:10

Sometimes faith means stopping instead of striving. Be still and remember that God remains in control. You don't have to have every answer when you know who holds the future.

Amen.

I #pray 2da frm #Psalm 105.24: Make us stronger than r foes, dear #Christ! My records show ths #prayer rose frm the #Bible on ths day in 2024, b4 tht election. I confess, I shudder at having foes but we do. Agree? How'll #Jesus make u strong 2 prevail angst them? Peacefully, of course. #PCUSA #love

I #pray 2da frm #Psalm 104.2: Wrap us in Ur #light, dear #Christ! The #Bible here imagines #God wrapped in light. I felt myself wrapped in light & felt so safe there, making ths my #prayer. My mind shifted 2 #Jesus expanding on Himself as the light 2 the world. I feel even safer. Follow me? #PCUSA

I #pray 2da frm #Psalm 103.13: Have #compassion 4 us, dear #Christ! Ths was also my #prayer twice in the Spring. It rises again 2da as I need ths nonjudgemental helping hand frm #Jesus. How'll He offer it 2 u 2da? & I think abt #Christian nationalism judging empathy as 2 woke. Compassion, 2? #PCUSA
