I’m making the most random alters at all times of day, often with no connection to each other. #mtgalters #mtgproxy #pokemonalter

1/1 Goblin MTG token. Two red cute goblins with yellow outlines on a black background having a questionable interaction. I just drew one and then another to try and figure out how a goblin would look in my style and in the end it looks like a short one is touching the belly of the taller one.

Text is vertically written on the right in yellow and blue.

A wurm-like 1/1 snake token with painted fins inspired by xyris, the writhing storm. It is gray and muted pink/red in a green background.

A blue purple blob with eyes on 3/3 elemental token with flying. The background is painted splotchy shades of red with red lighter crosshatching on the edges.

Psyduck drawn chuckling to himself with mischievous eyes on a Psyduck card.

I made some custom magic cards for my friend who is building a Twilight themed vampire deck.

She originally asked for just the commander card (Edward Cullen Markov) but I added the others as staples/confirming she was planning to use these cards.

Enjoy!

Simic players, stop running boring cards. 🌀 I gave Kinnan, Force of Will, and Force of Negation a full J-Horror manga redesign—and they look ridiculous on the table.

Originally this started as a Museum building, but I couldn't quite execute it in the way I wanted. I didn't want to miss the first day, so I threw this together! 🤖⚡

I was not thinking about the spacing in the text box, though I am happy with it. Can't wait to finish building this deck.

Week 01 - Spirit - #tokentober2026

#mtgalters #mtgproxy

1/1 spirit token with flying magic: the gathering proxy sketch of haku from spirited away flying down from the upper left over an abstract body of water in the background. Pen with alcohol marker !

been a while, been busy

i've learned that my cardstock, when laminated, feels very similar to a real card (sleeved), so I've designed a proxy for my lootboxes :3

first time properly working in CMYK as well

Some more Bird Tokens I drew at the PG Museum 🪶#mtgproxy #mtgalters #birdtoken

Pen sketch of a Burrowing Owl for a Magic: the Gathering Bird Token on scratch paper collaged on card.

Pen sketch of a Mourning Dove for a Magic: the Gathering Bird Token on scratch paper collaged on card.

Pen sketch of a Wood Duck with baby duck for a Magic: the Gathering Bird Token on scratch paper collaged on card.

Pen sketch of a geese for a Magic: the Gathering Bird Token on scratch paper collaged on card. These geese are particularly spooky due to the eyes being blank. The most natural history taxidermy vibe of them all. A bit haunting and I considered recycling this one for being too scary.

Hosting this Tokentober with @awk_ward_alters (on IG) this upcoming month! It’s meant to be a chill prompt list with some spooky themes🎃

I’ll share my work here and I hope to see some of yours as well 🦇 #alteredmagic #mtgalters #mtgproxy

I looked up what the word "rhystic" meant & I was surprised to see it was a word made up FOR Magic the Gathering. The general consensus is that it's a word that sounds cooler than "get a good effect unless your opponents pay the tax".
