@wordybird.bsky.socialIt's her day.
@wordybird.bsky.socialVague going into work and still kinda sleepy thoughts: I gotta get more lizard art going some time. I gotta put her in her racing suit and have people draw that for my enrichment. It's important.
@wordybird.bsky.socialCan't believe I would be interrupted by my writing via -checks notes- the thing I queued in for popping. Downright rude.
@wordybird.bsky.socialTrust an au ra to ruin her aura.
@wordybird.bsky.social
@wordybird.bsky.socialIn the back of wine-soaked taverns it is rumoured that you can still find copies of the vanishingly rare Warrior of Light pin-up calendar made some years past. Arashi makes careful note of each location named so she can reduce the stock further.
@wordybird.bsky.socialLiz.
Ard.
@wordybird.bsky.socialLRP: Instructions unclear, I have already shown my au ras repeatedly to limited but valuable success.
@wordybird.bsky.socialFray and Myste. The two of them shared some of the burden long enough to keep Arashi lucid and stable enough to keep fighting. Only when they couldn't take any more did Arashi finally, fully break down at the feet of Emet-Selch.
@wordybird.bsky.social...Oh, right!
Today's two years since I posted the first chapter of Wheels of Thunder! Time sure does fly, but I'm glad it flew in the direction it did. Writing and posting that thing has helped me get closer and made me feel more confident in the process.
Also. Y'know. More lizard.
@wordybird.bsky.socialArashi's the type to dress for the weather she's facing. Tataru's finest and a few touches for added protection from whatever she might face.
...Which is good, because her current outfit is AWFUL for what's coming.
@wordybird.bsky.socialWhile there are many, the one the Scions (minus Thancred) remember most clearly is her bursting free of the Praetorium, riding Maggie with Thancred in tow... And screaming like a banshee the whole time.
Which one? Yeah...
@wordybird.bsky.socialIf Arashi isn't the security something has gone quite wrong. There may be occasions she lets someone pretend they're guarding her, but when push comes to shove she's shoving them behind her with greatsword in hand. Tank main instincts die hard.
@wordybird.bsky.socialWheels of Radiance - Turali Grand Prix: Chapter 102 - Mad Hare
New chapter! We're back! Fareena and her bodyguard have a falling out. Arashi struggles to understand. Wuk Lamat stands her ground.
@wordybird.bsky.socialLRP: I've spoke on this before, but Arashi's first reaction upon seeing Estinien in the MSQ was to pull out her spear and try to finish what she started. Things have... gotten better? Less murder-y? Over time, but... not much.
@wordybird.bsky.socialArashi and Honey B. Lovely are outwardly courteous, polite, even friendly. But Arashi has not forgiven her for what she pulled and anyone reading into more than surface level can FEEL the tension.
@wordybird.bsky.socialEvery time Arashi has to deal with Gerolt, romantic music begins to play. Not for her but for her weapon, who has fallen completely for the alcoholic smith. The relic weapons have become test cases to make it sharper, hardier, better. It unnerves Arashi.
@wordybird.bsky.socialRandom thought that slammed into my brain: Arashi does not do Occult Crescent and so therefore doesn't deal with Gerolt. The moment Fareena and Tender show back up with their fancy new relic weapons, Arashi's weapon starts rattling out of control.
@wordybird.bsky.socialThis All Saint's Wake, Arashi is going as her worst possible fear: Someone totally fine with her most embarrassing secrets being out in the open.
@wordybird.bsky.socialUsually just the one, minus her own body (a work-in-progress under Lyse's and Fareena's tutoring). Arashi's weapon is a shifting thing that adapts to its owner's needs, so it can be any number of blades at any moment. Its resting form is that of a greatsword.
