@shenmuevillage.bsky.socialTenary Spring is a place that Shenhua goes to when something is troubling her and she's upset about something, we all have those moments where we need to unwind after a long day of stress, relax to avoid the noise of the world, or just have some time to ourselves.
@shenmuevillage.bsky.socialRyo is known for facing his goals head on, approaching the next dangerous objective with extreme stoicism, and not really being deterred by anything that stands in his way.
@shenmuevillage.bsky.socialHappy 100th Birthday to Yaowen Chen!
He is someone that is vital to the first part of Ryo's journey and quest, provided him with vital information, revealed lore tidbits that may be important later, and tried to guide him off the path of revenge.

@shenmuevillage.bsky.socialLan Di has wreaked havoc not just on Ryo since 1999 and 2001, but in the bad ending of Shenmue 2, he threatens to take Shenhua's power for the Chi You, and most likely use her as a sacrificial lamb to harvest her abilities, for reviving Chi You.
@shenmuevillage.bsky.socialRyo practices martial arts every single day, and is a part of his DNA because of how he was raised by his father to be a martial artist. He has the mindset of being even better through constant growth through training and non-stop perfection.
@wtshenmue.bsky.socialHad a few people ask me why I tend to make videos related to #Shenmue more than the others.
Honestly? I miss things from 1 and want to see them again. Hope everything is still "Fine And Dandy"π
Have a great weekendπ

@shenmuevillage.bsky.socialThe Phoenix Mirror has so much lore behind it when it comes to the importance and significance of what it does and how Ryo, Shenhua, Ren.... or the Chi You Men will use it in the story down the line. It will either be used to stop the Chi You Men or destroy the world.
@shenmuevillage.bsky.socialThe North Star is such a major part of Shenmue's lore and world-building since the beginning of the series and narrative. This hanged portrait of the Big Dipper constellation can be found in the Russiya China Shop.

@shenmuevillage.bsky.socialShenmue has one of the most simplistic and minimal designs for a main menu ever. It's just a blue cloudy background, with the emblem of the Dragon and Phoenix with the red Shenmue logo in front of it.... but I think that's part of its charm as to why it sticks with me.
@shenmuevillage.bsky.socialThe yakuza in Nagai Industries have a good point about telling Ryo not to collude with them. He's a young man and Nagai Industries is a criminal organization that is notorious and infamous in Dobuita, along with being feared by the locals.
@dragonseye76.bsky.socialI would have loved to get a DLC of "The Old Man and the Peach Tree", but likely even just a part of Luoyang would have been a lot of work to craft for just a DLC.

@shenmuevillage.bsky.socialThe word Berkeley that's written on a wall next to the Heartbeats Bar is a reference to the code name that Shenmue got pretty early in development called Project Berkeley.
@shenmuevillage.bsky.socialThe Shenmue IV trailer from a year ago still brings a tear to my eyes, as a Shenmue fan who loves this series to death.

@shenmuevillage.bsky.socialThe Hazuki Family Altar is a place that honors and memorializes the dead members of the Hazuki Family, and has the names of Iwao and Akane Hazuki engraved and craved in the order of the male parent, and female parent.
@wtshenmue.bsky.social@shenmuevillage.bsky.socialChristmas time in Dobuita is one filled with jovial laughter, joy, cheer, fun, and spending it with friends and family who truly care about you, and they cherish you as well... but Ryo could honestly care less.
@shenmuevillage.bsky.socialShenmue is a story about fathers, legacies, identity, coming-of-age, and maturity.... and how the actions of two people affect those in the future greatly, along with leading to the destinies of three different people colliding towards each other.
