Not joking about the Light Fantastic..

#sunburst #dogs #PhotoOfTheDay #DogsOfMastodon #LensFlare

A sunburst of radiating light - the setting sun is centre, shining through some trees, it's light blinding everything. The silhouette of a large dog standing underneath - her body facing one way, head turned back - appears curved around the sun. Her ears and tongue are picked out by sunbeams.

A low-angle shot of a cove showing slightly rippled water and two rocky pieces of land framing some sail boats anchored between them.

The Royal Canadian Air Force Heritage Flight formation makes a sneak pass above the crowd as it heads out over Lake Ontario.

An image of four planes in flight against a clear blue sky. The aircraft are moving from the top left of the frame towards the lower right. At the bottom right corner, the brilliant sun is shooting out blinding rays of light. A line of circular and semi-circular lens flares runs across the screen nearly in parallel with the flight path of the planes. There are green leafy tree branches encroaching on the frame slightly at the top left and more significantly at the top right. The tree on the right continues down the right side of the frame until it partially blocks the sun. The three planes at the front are the historical RCAF aircraft the Hurricane Hawker, Supermarine Spitfire, (both WWII era) and the CT-114 Tutor (the trainer jet from the 1960s through 2000 and the airframes of The Snowbirds until retirement this year). The larger aircraft following is a CF-18 Hornet which has been the primary fighter aircraft for The Canadian Forces since 1982.
