Who wants to have a "I Love Lucy" watch party? You plan it, I'll come. Haha #ILoveLucy

#ILoveLucy - Men Are Messy

I thought the first half was better than the second here, although it was still funny later on. The early conflict was funny, and I like how it escalates to the division of the apartment. And nice use of Fred and Ethel to play off of the main couple.

#ILoveLucy - The Seance

A fun take on the obsession on numerology, horoscopes, and other mystical stuff. The dynamic between Lucy and Ricky works well here, and I like how it all escalates. Not as laugh-out-loud as others, but still really funny and clever overall.

#ILoveLucy - The Audition

Nice refinement of the story from the pilot. Again, Lucille Ball does really well showing her comedic acting in the performance scene. Not as strong as a few previous episodes, but really fun overall.

#ILoveLucy - Lucy Thinks Ricky Is Trying To Murder Her

Another really funny episode. I like the setup of Lucy getting really into the murder mystery book, including the running gag of getting shocked out of it. Great use of Lucy's dynamics with Ricky and Ethel here.

#ILoveLucy - The Diet

The main idea can be seen as an interesting critique on showbusiness' warped views on weight, and the excessive lengths to maintain it. Some parts were really funny, like the dinner scene. Though it could definitely be uncomfortable with how far she goes.

#ILoveLucy - Be a Pal

A pretty good set-up, showing Lucy and Ricky's marriage in a rut, and Lucy concerned about her appeal. But it's really an excuse to have Lucille Ball show off her comedic talent in different situations. My favorite being Lucy joining the poker game.

I never skip the “I Love Lucy” theme song (youtu.be/4t_lFXZKah4?...) It’s so simple but it puts a smile on my face every time

Our final episode is “Nursery School” (pluto.tv/us/shows/155...), which is actually fairly timely

Apparently, Desi’s holster belt fell down accidentally during dress rehearsal so it was written into the script for taping b/c it got big laughs

I know some of the episodes in these later seasons get weird when it shifts more to being about Ricky’s career but I like that they gave Desi more to do beyond reacting to Lucy

And we roll right into “Lucy Goes to a Rodeo” (pluto.tv/us/shows/155...)

Desi was actually a bit less than the “5’11 and a half” he claimed in this episode. Lucy was at least 5 foot 7 and often wore flat shoes

And just let it roll into “Face to Face” AKA “The Ricardos Are Interviewed” (Season 5, Episode 7) (pluto.tv/us/shows/155...)

“The Homecoming” hit the airwaves around the time of Lucy and Desi’s 1956 fantasy romcom “Forever, Darling”
