A good critique group is likely to make you bring printed copies of around 3k enough for each group member and hand them out.

Some critique groups are genre limited. This means they may all be scifi or fantasy authors. They may limit by romance. They may limit by horror. Or mystery. Or thriller/suspense. These are more focused groups who usually read within a genre.

If you do a critique group and change nothing, and you continue to submit the same work, what are you doing?

How do you evaluate if a criticism is valid or mean?

Look at consistencies pointed out by 3 or more writers. Did many point out something?
