In an isolated disk with warm adiabatic gas, SIDM delays bar growth relative to CDM. Follow halo, gas and stellar torques in Kang's simulations. Cooling, star formation and feedback are absent.

The Bubble Nebula, catalog NGC7635 and C11, a faint nebula about 11,000 light years away with the appearance of a bubble cause by expanding gases from the central star. Imaged over several nights from Savannah, GA USA using monochrome imaging that isolates the RGB colors and different gas colors with filters. This uses about 12 hours total imaging across the 7 filters. The separate stacks of exposures get combined in post processing. This may get a future edit that could look very different.
