@lieutenant-columbo.bsky.social"A Case of Immunity", starring Hector Elizondo as a treasonous diplomat from the fictional country of Suari debuted 51 years ago today. It has one of the top 10 gotchas of the series, in my opinion. #Columbo #ClassicTV
@lieutenant-columbo.bsky.socialHappy #Columbo Day!
@lieutenant-columbo.bsky.socialFarewell to Otis Young, best known to #Columbo fans as Steinmetz's henchman in "Identity Crisis". He passed away October 11th, 2001.
@lieutenant-columbo.bsky.socialRest in Peace, Columni Paul Shenar. He was a detective in "Publish or Perish". He passed away of AIDS on this date in 1989 at just 53 years of age. #Columbo
@lieutenant-columbo.bsky.socialHappy birthday to Sharon Johansen, born in Norway on this date in 1948. She was the lovely Miss Dudley in "Dagger of the Mind". #Columbo
@lieutenant-columbo.bsky.social"Negative Reaction" is a great example of #Columbo playing "shabby" to trap his suspect. Bumbling around the memorial service, pretending to take bad pictures. He lured Galesko into a false sense of security that ultimately led to his downfall.
Galesko's realizes it at the end.
@lieutenant-columbo.bsky.socialPatrick McGoohan won the 1990 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series for playing Oscar Finch in "Agenda for Murder". #Columbo
@lieutenant-columbo.bsky.social"Uneasy Lies the Crown" is the episode that reminded a lot of people that laundry bluing exists. #columbo
@lieutenant-columbo.bsky.socialI have "Columbo Cries Wolf" ranked 63rd. A big part of the reason is that #Columbo is one of the only likeable characters in the episode. Even the victim, Dian Hunter, you're not that sad to see go.
@lieutenant-columbo.bsky.socialHappy birthday to Shera Danese, Peter Falk's real-life wife who appeared in 6 episodes. #Columbo
@lieutenant-columbo.bsky.socialHappy birthday to León Singer, who got blown up in Big Fred's Rolls in "A Bird in the Hand." He was born on this date in 1932.
@lieutenant-columbo.bsky.socialBob Dishy was a good friend of Peter Falk's in real life, and made two #Columbo apperances - both times as Sgt. Wilson (though once he was John and once he was Frederic).
@lieutenant-columbo.bsky.socialAshes to Ashes premiered 28 years ago today. Starring Patrick McGoohan as shady mortician Eric Prince. I have it ranked 59th, in part because of the cringy "Mortician of the Year" sequence. #Columbo
@lieutenant-columbo.bsky.socialHappy birthday to Columni James Olson who did a nice job as troubled trumpeter Paul Rifkin in season 2 standout "Etude in Black". He was born in Evanston, IL 96 years ago today. #Columbo
@justabaldguy.bsky.socialgot this idea from @justonemoreframe.bsky.social and had to create it. #JustOneMoreThing #Columbo @columboscreens.bsky.social @columbopodcast.bsky.social
@lieutenant-columbo.bsky.socialHonestly, Greg Evigan's character is one of the weaknesses of "A Bird in the Hand" but I don't blame Evigan for it. He definitely gave it a good effort. #Columbo
@lieutenant-columbo.bsky.social"Columbo Goes to the Guillotine" is starting now on Universal Crime. It marked the return of #Columbo to TV after 11 years away. #ColumboTV
