"We haven't even thought about kids," Rickie said. "That's in the future."
"So, that means Lucille will finish school?"
"Of course. I know what you've gone through. I'll make sure she graduates, come hell or high water."
"Thank you, Rickie." #lookinmybriefs #birthdays #newadult #romance #shortstory

We left the guys and rounded the wall separating the kitchen/living room from the bathroom/bedroom. Through the bedroom door I spied his and my clothes strewn across the bed. I was shocked to see a baby blue nightie atop the pile. Cybil had left me a gift. #lookinmybriefs #birthdays #contemporary

"Pizza Hut," Rickie replied. "Sorry, no Papa John's left."
"I'll have a piece."
"I need to use the restroom," said Mom.
"I'll show you where it is," I responded, as if she couldn't find it herself in the tiny one-bedroom apartment.

"Wasn't the cable company supposed to install another connector in the bedroom?"
"Yeah, that was today. I can't believe they actually made it."
I noticed that the buttons on my dress didn't match the holes, but I shrugged and swung open the door.
"Dad. Mom." #lookinmybriefs #birthdays #contemporary

It wasn't long before he was on the sofa, and I was on his lap. My dress was bunched to my waist, and my panties were balled around my knees, when the doorbell rang. I jumped off, yanked up my panties, and straightened my dress.
"Who the hell is it?" he grumbled.

For some reason I was the group's gofer. Rickie wasn't happy about me drinking, but Cybil batted her baby blue eyes, and his friends insisted that she be allowed a beer, so he grudgingly gave me one too. Inevitably we had to order two more pizzas. #lookinmybriefs #birthdays #newadult #contemporary

One was carrying two large pizza boxes, and the others had twelve-packs of beer. Cybil jumped up and grabbed one of the boxes.
"Hey, Baby," the guy said, ogling her tits. "I'm Rubin."
"Hi, Rube. I've heard of you. You're smarter than a one-star app."

Stomping in hall caused me to swivel my head.
"Hey, we're here," a jovial voice said.
Four young men attempted to enter the living room through the single door. Two of them got stuck. I rolled my eyes.
"These are your friends, Rickie?"
