If your tests lie, how do you expect your agent to get it right?

This test passes in a real browser. But the "Add" button is hidden behind a salad 🥗

🎁 The fix: the new #Vitest Browser Mode module of Pragmatic #Angular #Testing. Live Fri Oct 16. €80 until Thu, then €120.

The new style guide making us drop the `.component`, `.directive` from file names kinda makes me frustrated

Did you switch to the new naming convention or sticking to the old one?

A dark code editor file explorer on a grey-blue background. Under "src", the user-profile folder is open and lists user-profile.css, user-profile.html, user-profile.spec.ts and user-profile.ts, with user-profile.ts highlighted. The payment-info folder is open below it with payment-info.css, payment-info.html, payment-info.spec.ts and payment-info.ts. A purchase-confirmation folder is collapsed at the bottom. No file name contains ".component".

Local AI used to get stronger by the month, but now it gets more and more powerful by the day

A tiny yet smart #Gemini model lives right inside your #Chrome browser; tomorrow, let's gather and see what we can do with it to elevate the UX in our #Angular apps!

Why do Angular Signals sometimes silently fail to update your UI? Understand dependency tracking, change detection, and zone awareness behind Angular’s reactivity. Debug smarter, build better. https://blog.mspk.me/posts/how-angular-signals-really-work-behind-the-scenes-of-reactivity #Angular #Signal

Played around a little bit with RxJS v9 and its support of native Observables.

A bit surprising code, but aren't we supposed to not look at the code anymore? 😉

Jokes aside, pretty great how quickly the ecosystem now catches up with the new standards

import 'rxjs';
import { debounce } from 'rxjs/debounce';

search
  .when('input')
  .map((event) => event.target.value.trim())
  .filter((query) => query.length > 2)
  [debounce](300) // only this one comes from RxJS
  .switchMap((query) => fetchResults(query))
  .subscribe(render);

Do not make your users download huge bundles of libraries they might never use.

Angular lets you lazy-load services (and defer such big downloads to lighten your bundle size)

#Angular #WebDev #Performance #JavaScript

export class Invoice {
  private pdf = injectAsync(
    () => import('./pdf-generator').then((m) => m.PdfGenerator),
    // prefetch when a click is likely soon, so it feels instant
    {prefetch: () => onIdle({timeout: 1_000})},
  );
  async download() {
    (await this.pdf()).save('invoice.pdf');
  }
}

Chrome now ships a real AI model right inside the browser. Still experimental, but I see it as the start of many small local models running small yet important background tasks.

This Wednesday, join me as we build an Angular app on top of Gemini Nano 😉

Agents are already using your Angular apps on behalf of your users.

Make sure they can easily use your apps functionality, now made possible with experimental WebMCP support in Angular 😉

#Angular #WebMCP #WebDev #AI

// app.config.ts
export const appConfig: ApplicationConfig = {
  providers: [provideExperimentalWebMcpTools([{
    name: 'get_cart_total',
    description: 'Returns the cart total.',
    inputSchema: { type: 'object', properties: {} },
    execute: () => ({ content: [{ type: 'text',
      text: `Total: ${inject(CartStore).total()}` }] }),
  }])],
};
@armenvardanyan.devOct 12, 2026, 11:59 AM

Did you know that Chrome (experimental) ships with a Gemini Nano model inside?

This is all a bit raw for now, but I see things like this as the future of on-device AI

Anyway here is an Angular directive that detects spam comments 😆

#Angular #GeminiNano #ChromeAI #OnDeviceAI #WebDev

@Directive({
  selector: '[spamCheck]',
  host: { '[title]': 'spam.value() ? "Potential spam" : null' },
})
export class SpamCheck {
  text = input.required<string>({ alias: 'spamCheck' });

  spam = resource({
    params: () => this.text(),
    loader: async ({ params }) => {
      const ai = await LanguageModel.create();
      const answer = await ai.prompt(`Is this spam?\n\n${params}`, {
        responseConstraint: { type: 'boolean' },
      });
      return JSON.parse(answer);
    },
  });
}

// comments.html
@for (c of comments(); track c.id) {
  <p [spamCheck]="c.text">{{ c.text }}</p>
}
