@delwynd.bsky.socialShade from panels benefits crops & soil as the climate warms. There is also potential to use the power to desalinate brackish water, producing more water for more crops.

@jimballcht.bsky.socialLies about agrivoltaics push OH farmer to sell land & equipment to pay medical debt instead of paying w/ solar revenue. Freedom? Property rights? Not with solar. #climateaction #ruralsolar #agrivoltaics

@0lsi.bsky.socialAfter pivoting to planting crops under solar panels, farmers in 🇪🇬 Egypt are seeing their plants “growing well for the first time.” Called #agrivoltaics, the additional shade reduces evaporation and stress on the plants, all while generating clean electricity.

@egeasri.bsky.social☀️🐄 Why choose between farming and solar?
Texas-invented Watt-Farmer raises solar panels high enough for cattle, crops and farm equipment to keep using the land underneath.
Food + energy from the same acre.

@corenewable.bsky.socialThere are only a few public tours of Jack's Solar Garden left in 2026! Don't miss your opportunity to tour the nation's largest #agrivoltaics research site, Jack’s Solar Garden, this fall! Tickets are still available for the tour on Saturday, October 3rd.

Looks like there will be tradeoffs as the best crop performance with blue spectrum film would see considerably less revenue generated from the panels

@fungiforager.bsky.social@commercialsolarguy.comA example from #France where #agrivoltaics protected #maize from an overly hot & dry summer. Research says 19% ‘more’ than control - but I wanna know what crop was like in previous years!

The Sonoran Desert is becoming a laboratory for ecological development. Stand above the borderlands at night and see two constellations—stars above, towns and solar farms below.
@altenergy.bsky.socialThis is a great use of the water surface, but you can actually farm on land where there are solar panels. #agrivoltaics
@commercialsolarguy.com
@petethehawkeye.bsky.socialThere is no need to stop farming or grazing on land with solar panels. It's called #Agrivoltaics and it is working quite well all over the world.
