Day 7: Mining. Another $2 neutral ship, not exclusive to any one faction. I could've made a static bit of terrain, but I thought it'd be fun to have an asteroid tug. It's clamped down onto a valuable bit of ore, with the fleet protecting it en route to processing. #LEGO #Spaceshiptember #SST #SST26

Art Nouveau was inevitable for this one, but also I wanted something grounded in reality, so I looked at how functional structures incorporated that style, and tried to design the ship the same way.

Day 6: Curved. That's already been the theme for this faction, so here's the first cruiser at $3. Some similar design elements, now with nacelles and a split prow. Very reminiscent of UCM ships from Dropfleet Commander. Tricky to find a good render angle, though! #LEGO #Spaceshiptember #SST #SST26

The ASV Vigilante, a Command and Control Ship of the Alliance's expeditionary forces, was rebuilt from a damaged relic cruiser, as evident from its elegant outlines and a horizontal layout, which requires advanced artificial gravity.

Space cephalopod robot!

this is a soft body robot, using small jets to move, and tentacles as general purpose manipulators.

it isn't particularly fast, or maneuverable, but the soft body absorbs low speed collisions

Day 5: Probe/Drone. This one came about while working on yesterday's build. I was going for something sleek, but when I flipped the upper hull around I liked the stubbier prow. This is a combat drone, and the wand isn't an antenna but rather a delicate weapon. #LEGO #Spaceshiptember #SST #SST26

5. Probe/Drone
The Serinus serves as the Three Stars Alliance's most ubiquitous recon probe. Despite being fully automated, this vehicle carries serious active countermeasures onboard, as its data-gathering equipment is quite expensive.
