From my school days 1976-1988 | 23 of 30
Rap rock became a thing when I was 16. I remember two hits that year (1986/1987). First there was this one, I think:
"Walk This Way" by Run DMC and Aerosmith ("Raising Hell", 1986)

23.
Indians, by Anthrax
I was really into Thrash (for a brief window - though I do still love it in places), and Anthrax was my band, and Scott Ian my god. Among The Living was the motherlode for me.

Day 23: Evening & Late Night radio was a big deal. Music that never got near a Top 40 playlist. DJs like John Peel, Annie Nightingale, Bob Harris, Andy Kershaw and the wonderful Roger Scott.
Mark Germino: 'Rex Bob Lowenstein'
