French students and teachers are holding nationwide protests to demand better funding, smaller classes, and repairs for crumbling school buildings. It has absolutely nothing to do with immigration. Trump just wants to make it about migrants.

And meanwhile in the U.S., there are no anti- #Trump #protests in high schools or university campuses

We didn't start the fire
It was always burning since the world's been turning
We didn't start the fire
No, we didn't light it, but we tried to fight it

On the “social” networks of Big Tech companies (Meta, Google, X Corp, etc.), there are bots and zombies.

In my opinion, unions (students, workers, etc.) have no business being on the “social” networks of Big Tech companies (Meta, Google, X Corp, etc.): they should be on ethical alternatives like Bluesky and Mastodon.

Meta's servers are powered by electricity produced from coal.

Coming back to Meta, this company finances natural gas power plants.

Can we both be against the far-right and be present on a “social” network whose owner supports far-right movements and parties?

Let the High School Union and the Student Union know that YouTube belongs to Google, an American Big Tech company, well known for its lack of respect for privacy.

Additionally, Elon Musk (the owner of X), an ultra-rich, supports far-right parties and movements around the world.

X is well known for hate speech, propaganda, misinformation and manipulation. And especially because of Grok (who is a real scumbag).

Let the High School Union and the Student Union know that X belongs to X Corp (itself belonging to xAI, itself belonging to SpaceX, itself belonging to Elon Musk).

Meta is one of the companies that supports authoritarian regimes. Not to mention the spread of disinformation and manipulation.

Let the High School Union and the Student Union know that Instagram and Threads belong to Meta, an American Big Tech company.

These unions (the High School Union and the Student Union) are incapable of supporting ethical alternatives like Bluesky and Mastodon.

#France #Europe #EU #school #schools #student #students #protests

The High School Union and the Student Union are present on “social” networks. Both are on X, Instagram, Threads and Telegram. The Student Union is also on YouTube and LinkedIn. They are on the wrong track by using these “social” networks.
