Ended the weekend with a good session of Season of Ghosts in #pf2e .

The party battled a storm-witch-style baddie as we hauled ourselves across a lake on a wooden ferry raft.

Highlight: our own witch Stupefying the enemy so she couldn't Lightning Bolt us en route.

Lowlight: she could fly. 😅

While I am using one of my own #dnd #ttrpg characters as my Bsky persona, I also run a homebrew campaign setting in #Pathfinder2e #pf2e.

I run two games semi-concurrently in the setting, and I'm feeling like some worldbuilding.

As a #pf2e fan I do also love me some PbtA.

(Not that I've dabbled as deeply as I'd like. I've only played a bit of Dungeon World.)

I loved it as a bit of variety. A really refreshing change of pace.

If you forced me to pick I'd go #pf2e ... but I'd be really upset I was being forced to pick! 😭

Speaking generally now, and not about OP...

...in #pf2e from level 1 with no feats you can Create a Diversion, Demoralise, Feint, Grapple, Hide, Recall Knowledge, Reposition, Shove, Stride/Step/Tumble (movement can matter!), Sneak, Trip.

More options than just Strike. 🙂

I can see why #pf2e is not your cup of tea.

You extract none of the benefit out of the moment-to-moment crunchy play. Yet you have to endure all of the overhead it brings.

I can see why you are drawn more to PbtA.

This is not an insult or attack, by the way. People like different things! 🙂
