The last of my really old character designs.
I might revisit the first piece, that was my very first attempt at a burn scar. I could probably do much better now. I am working on a new piece currently though, so I'll save any changes for later.

I realized I never posted them side by side, but here are both of the character sheets for the protagonists of “RIFT”, a sci-fi fantasy webcomic about grief, love and transcendence when the universe is facing it’s end!

New pages release every week! :) link in bio

Maxis (he/they), the series main protagonist. Age: 19. From the planet, Palven (now destroyed). His mother, who died in the rift that destroyed his planet, is from Telaran, where cultural and religious practices are based around astronomy and reincarnation cycles. They believe dragons formed the very stars that make us. Their fangs represent the serpents thy descend from. Though, due to his parent’s death at an early age, he has been detached from his culture, and only has faint memories of what he remembers from growing up. Maxis is strong headed, determined, and has deep emotions, but he rarely shows them. He’d rather play everything off sarcastically, or turn things around to not focus back on his true feelings, because then he’d had to acknowledge them. His grief manifests in a way in which it’s buried down deep within, so he’d rather just forget about it and pretend to try to live a normal, easy life. Though, life, and his love interest and decades old best friend, Theo, have other plans… Prologue Age: 9 Act 2 Age: 23 Act 3 Age: 27 Theo (he/him), the series’ secondary protagonist. Age: 21. Much is not known about Theo’s parents, as he grew up an orphaned boy on the streets, unseen by the world, until one day. As the planet, Palven, was erupted by a rift, young Theo cried out to be saved, going unanswered until another boy, Maxis, reached out and helped him escape his fate. From that day, Theo knew he would never let Maxis go, just like Maxis did for him... After being taken in by the Faran church, one of the galactic governments, Theo would be determined to prove his usefulness. Though lacking in smarts, he showed excellence in what is needed of a soldier. Coupled with the power to summon a protective shield, Theo would become one of the galaxy’s top military rank; earning him and Maxis a position with an elite squad, set on stopping the very rifts that brought them together. Prologue Age: 11 Act 2 Age: 25 Act 3 Age: 29

#HALLOWEEN #OC
I got this idea after seeing a post that said “Quilt shaped belly” and another that said “what if the feeder was bigger/fatter and the feede was a scrawny vampire” or something.

They had to be #OCs since I couldn’t find an interesting enough vat to draw.

Melrose lightly scolding her gf Kida for disappearing for a few days, not eating, and getting her worried, all because she overslept, again. Kida von vampire -300something yr old baby (20s in human yrs, looks 60 because of bad habits) -loves eating fruit -sleepy constantly -scrawny, pathetic, and family disappointment -forgets to eat for several days (weeks) -failed to prof her worth as a hunter, but at least got herself a loving girlfriend -recluse behavior ironically led her to be the last survivor of her lineage -inherited a huge mansion with plenty of “sleeping holes” (rooms/passages) -dresses like a grandma Melrose “Rosie” -young 24yr old goth (actually in mid 30s) -in a relationship for almost a decade -she has been always a big girl, getting worried daily (because of Kida’s health mostly) made her weigh skyrocket -hates walking, but has to do it daily to find her gf sleeping spots -loves LOOKING at clothes, not wearing them, she feels constrained -she calls Kida “Leechie” because of the parasite and the fruit -likes older women -started dating Kida because she thought “hey, do you mind sharing your blood with me?” To be the awkward bug’s cute way of flirting with her -always makes sure Kida feels loved

Took a page out of @bigredg.bsky.social's book and drew his OC Kida in front of a sunset by the beach 🏖️

A digital art piece depicting @/bigredg.bsky.social's OC Kida, a dark skinned woman with show brown hair and light blue highlighted undertones, standing at a beach at dusk while the sun is setting off in the distance and shining its last light on her. She is wearing a large puffy red jacket with a skintight black dress underneath and thigh-high boots. She is looking over at the viewer, showing off her profile as she raises her arms over head head and blocks some of the light from her face.

A drawing of a woman in swimwear. She is lowering sunglasses and has light brown eyes, long ginger hair in a braid, pale skin, a thin figure with narrow hips and broader shoulders, and make up on. She is wearing a butterfly themed swim top, bikini bottoms, and a wrap around her hips. All are blue. She has on brown sandals. She also has on a blue pendant necklace on a silver chain. She is winking.

I hope other people can relate when I talk about how much I love my OCs, to the point where I speak about them as if they were characters from an existing media.
