3 Most Important Takeaways From Mets' Impressive Second Half #mets #newyork #LGM

The Astros and White Sox each tabbed Johnny Wholestaff for Game 1 of the American League Wild Card Series Tuesday, setting off some debate and collective laments on social media. Get used to it, though. This fall will belong to hard throwers on short assignments. Blame ABS. #mets #newyork #LGM

The Mets bounced back from an ugly first half down the stretch, getting future-altering breakouts from a number of players up and down the roster. #mets #newyork #LGM

“They should kept Pete!” Why? What would that have changed? We were cursed & miserable the 7 years he was here, too. (See also: Jacob deGrom.) #Mets #LGM

Truthfully, I’m not rooting for any MLB team these playoffs. I’m so sick of the #Mets being cursed & miserable that I’m firmly of the belief that no other fanbase should get to be happy, either. #LGM

"I do think it is necessary for us to add to our starting rotation," #Mets PBO David Stearns said today. More details from Stearns' season wrap-up press conference:

One more thing about Joe DeMayo’s X post below. As Mets fans, we sometimes focus on the players that leave the Mets and do better. This is a case of flipping that narrative. These players performed better as Mets. It would be interesting to know why.

Hey Phillies, I hope you and the Dodgers get eliminated! #MetsSky #Mets

This Phillies v. Braves, winner gets the Dodgers bracket might be the most cursed postseason bracket of all time. #Mets #LGM

I am in “anybody but..” playoff mode.. as a diehard #Mets fan, the phillies v braves series presents me with an existential crisis.. i want them both to lose… #LGM #MetsSky

For those of us who follow such things:
The #Mets 52 home and away series for 2026:
21 wins, 11 at home.
28 loses, 14 at home.
3 splits, 1 at home.
They were swept in a series 8 times, 5 at home, inclding a brutal 0-4 to the Cubs.
They swept 5 series, 3 at home.
They never won more than 2 in a row.

Some kind of awful for us to watch, isn't it?!
I usually will eventually end up wanting one of the non- #Mets teams to win, but this one? No thanks! I was basically non-plussed watching until the morons started up with their faux Native American chanting.
Can both lose?!

Who should the #Mets target this offseason? I look at 12 REALISTIC options, including Teruaki Sato and Michael King. Who do you want to see them go after if there is a season? #NYMets #MLB

This may feel a little like a personal attack, but what’s really going on under the hood? #mets #newyork #LGM

@billkristolbulwark.bsky.social Excited to learn we shared a dream, playing CF for the #Mets. I guess neither of us could compete with Agee. I am surprised of your past interest in CF. I would have expected you to be interested in RF at the time. #MetsSky #Bulwark
