There can be no reconciliation until there is full acknowledgement of the atrocities of the past.
It's the reason why things are the way they are today.

You're welcome, K!🙏🏽☺️💙
That—but to be real, those White people were not bum-rushing the company to fill those positions. Many White people back then, just like today—feel that field work is beneath them.
Hi Lisa. Yes, I am familiar with the history of Carr Beach. I came across it while researching another Black owned beach: American Beach in Florida. I never posted anything about Carr Beach, though.
Maybe I will. Thank you for the reminder.
Yep. It's the meaning behind "And remember that history doesn’t stay in the past — it echoes."
I posted a thread on the Zoot Suit Riots on Twitter around three years ago. I can post it here; however I will refresh it with more content. ☺️
Of course it was jealousy, my Brother. When you look at the violence that took place in America over the past few centuries; most incidents began with a rape accusation—most panned out to be unproven. Even with that, mobs carried out the violence anyway—no accountability.
#KeepItWoke indeed.
I wonder about its origins. Is it an Anglo thing? Wrapped up in protestant Christianity? Do Catholics use the same playbook? I mean, do reactionary, racist people in Span, say, use the same playbook against Moroccan immigrants? It's just a weird justification for genocide.
Hi Briana.☺️💙 I certainly hope they learned their lesson, Sis.
We'll know for sure in November.
You're welcome, Seth. When we look at the history of White mob violence—it's as if they went by a script. Always the same accusations—the biggest one being rape or close proximity to White women that sparked racially motivated violence. The end was always the same—no accountability.😡
Remember the jealousy of racist White men.
Remember Fermin Tobera.🙏🏽
Remember the Filipino workers who survived.
Remember the communities who rebuilt.
And remember that history doesn’t stay in the past — it echoes.
