That was some short program from Ula Zadnikar (🇸🇮).
Love the sound of the clap taps in the second half of her short.
She really got me going.

Yes... I kind of overreacting when I saw all that red in the boxes for Leila Festic (🇧🇦).
Won't have that same reaction for Sarah Abu Elseoud (🇪🇬) in which that is expected.
Nonetheless, good improvements from the last time I saw her.
Good short from her.

Wonderful short program from Angel Delevaque (🇳🇱).
Much improvement from last season.
Expecting to see a score in the high 50s, low 60s based on her performance alone.
Just magnificent what she did here in Ankara.
#JGPFigure

A good short from Sofia Nekrassova (🇪🇪) despite falling on her first element (only saw it in the replay).
The fall will cost her but still, a beautiful short from her here in Ankara.
#JGPFigure

Interesting music of choice for Hannah Frank (🇦🇹) but the fall on what was to be a flip-toe combination is going to cost her.
Could've had a technical score in the 30s.
Instead, it'll be in the 20s.
Overall.. her short will be in the 40s.
😔

Good short from Paula Kasnar (🇭🇷).
She shows great promise here in Ankara.
Hoping to see more of that when I watch her free skate 2morrow night (where I'm at).

😬... first skater that I seen in Ankara have all seven elements in the red.
Leila Festic (🇧🇦) did good in her short but because all elements were in the red, it won't be where it could've been had she had some green in there.
#JGPFigure

Beautiful short program from Jessica Jurka (🇺🇲) despite her technical score not matching that of the leader.
Interesting rendition though to the "Tango Roxanne" as that's the first time I've heard a female vocal in this version.
Nonetheless, still beautiful.

First time I ever heard this song from Abba (name of the song is "Money, Money" Money").
Nonetheless, Darja Trubitson (🇫🇮) did good with her rendition but that fall on the lutz late in the program is going to cost her.

A good short program from Emma Chen (🇦🇺).
Of course, with what her technical score is, won't be in the lead but shows great promise.
Can't wait to see more of her in the near future.

Stefania Gladki (🇫🇷)... 🤯.
Can't believe how much she has grown from last season.
Remember her being so small and now... crazy growth spurt she went through.
With that said, this was a beautiful short she did in Ankara despite the 1 mistake on the landing of her flip.
#JGPFigure

Though she gets a standing ovation after performing her short program at home, this was not the program Leyla Cetin (🇹🇷) wanted and her face told the story.
Costly mistakes including a fall on the lutz.
This was not her day, sadly.
😔

An nice short from Zlata Saprina (🇰🇬) but her landing on the lutz to begin the program as well as her jump combo in the second half are going to play key factors.
Again, a nice short but those mistakes will be costly for her.

Jana Horcickova (🇨🇿) with a short program that didn't start the way it was to start in her eyes.
An issue on the landing of her combo jump and a fall on the lutz are going to be costly for her.
It just wasn't in her here in Ankara.
#JGPFigure

An okay short from Ava Yu Tong Chen (🇹🇼) but some of jumping passes as well as spins didn't look right in my opinion and those issues will affect her overall score.
🙏🏾 next time we see her compete, there'll be some improvement.

#JGPAnkara

Love the Butterfly Lovers Concerto but not sure if Kalyn Shimogaki (🇦🇺) is ready to skate to such a piece.
Good short but some of her jumping passes and spins need a little more work.
Hope we can see that sometime in the near future.

#JGPAnkara

A good short program that ended nearly in a struggle.
That was the case for Inga Gurgenidze (🇬🇪) who had a beautiful combination to begin the short but the hand-down to save the lutz & the difficulty to her ending position will be costly.

Group 2 in Ankara starting off with Leile Agota Molnar (🇷🇴) in which her short was good but I question her music of choice.
It was a hard piece to get into and just couldn't feel it despite how good her program is.
Won't take the lead (of course) but she shows great promise.
#JGPFigure

Great short from Chen Xi Jin (🇨🇳).
Don't think she'll top her teammate but she did her best to.
Shuxian Jin (🇨🇳) leading Ankara after group #1.
Six more groups to go.
#JGPFigure

Awesome short program from Shuxian Jin (🇨🇳) who winked a blow-kissed the judges during her step sequence.
That was my highlight in her short.
One of the best so far and she's only the fourth skater out here in Ankara.
