Washing the slate clean

But I think
I can fix her

I’m training
To be a mage,
So I whip up

My potion’s crude
But wife comes back—
Tho wobbly
On her feet

Also…
She is a zombie
And my brain
She tries to eat

In panic,
Push her down the stairs
This time
I’ll let her sleep

The woods are cold today, but their heart is warm. Pixies and elves are making what they call autumn punch.
A splendid #elixir that manages to taste and smell like all the warmth of cold days, the nuts and spice, the apples and squash.

He poured heat and mass onto his conjuring plate. All night and by the light of the dawn, he hawked up the letters and let them arrange themselves in arresting patterns of meaning. When distilled, he knocked back the heady #elixir and observed how brightly his boots glowed.

that would make its drinker drunk,
I suspect that it's the liquor
that would likely run out quicker
because knowledge is a kicker
once you learn what things get thunk.

Arthur keeps his socks on, even on the hottest afternoons of August. A bottle of hydrating #elixir sits on his kitchen table. He pulls the fabric down just enough to apply a few drops to his heels. That's enough. He can't stand his feet.

The masses gathered
To sup their elixir of choice
Raising pint glasses, wine glasses, whisky tumblers, shot glasses
Getting merry in a crowd
Living their best life

For me, joy is out on the trail
Walking, talking, taking in nature
Revitalises my soul
