@thebrambler13.bsky.socialWhat's cooler than a knight? A knight on a motorcycle!
For this #WIPSnips I'm sharing an excerpt from Deilenddu Forest. This scene is an interesting contrast to parts of Grave Curiosity, in which Ata rode and developed a strong bond with horses. Enjoy!

![An excerpt from Deilenddu Forest (Raven & Bear: 9) by Bramble.
Transcript:
A dusk-gleamed canopy rushed overhead in a blur of green and browns, as the old knight bolted through this baleful wood. Unlike any motorcycle Sir Corbyn had ridden in America, his loan from Sir Seren barely whispered at full throttle. No furious roar, greedy for petrol. Instead, its burdened melody rang against a deceptive hush which smothered the forest around him. Clearer than fissures in glass.
Centuries old tarmac stretched out ahead of Sir Corbyn, splintered by patiently grown roots. His steed reared up as though in fright when he struck one, then trembled while its front wheel bounced along that ruined road. Unlike those they had ridden across the ocean, this one was built to lay across. A low chassis with wide tires, quick yet stable.
