Senkrechte, schwarzweiße Straßenfotographie, aufgenommen aus tiefer Stellung direkt auf der Straße hockend. Es ist eine breite, alte Straße mit Brüchen, Flicken, Wellen und einer Stelle mit freiliegendem Kopfsteinpflaster, dass einst auch mit Asphalt überdeckt war. Es ist früher Morgen an einem sonnigen Tag und die hohe Bäume und Häuser neben der Strasse werfen noch lange Schatten. Autos stehen am Straßenrand. Eine schwarzweiße Katze läuft ein Stück weiter vorne ruhig die Straße entlang in Richtung des unscharfen Hintergrundes.

Black and white photo of a praying mantis. Triangular head with threadlike antennae extending in opposite directions. Large round eyes with pinprick dots in the center of each. Raised ridges run down from antennae attachment points towards tip of mouth. Long, thin body, blurred, descends at a slight (10°?) angle from the head. Front legs reach out at a 45° angle towards bottom left. Mostly out of frame: the remains of the bumblebee mantis is eating. Background is the blurred foliage of a butterfly bush. - Taken in my backyard in Baltimore, Maryland, USA on September 29, 2019. I got into taking bug pics during the height of COVID.
