Oy! September was absolutely crazy! October is only a little better. I'm going to be teaching at Frank's Fabric starting this month, I'm also doing a workshop for my guild, I have 3 pieces to finish, and we're still working through my health concerns. I miss you #quiltsky !

Finally finished the custom king sized quilt that divides into 2 sections for my son & dil. It can be separated & washed easy at home or used as 2 couch blankets. After trial & error, I went with buttons and a unique edge to reduce bulk. If you can imagine it, you can do it! #quiltsky

A new exhibit of "Cultural Patchworks" that includes 30 unique wall hangings with international origins is being held at the Worcester Center for Crafts, 25 Sagamore Road, Worcester, Massachusetts, from August 26 through October 9, 2026. The wall hangings include pieces from North, Central, and South America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and the Pacific that were stitched together into artworks that demonstrate how textile traditions from different parts of the world can coexist in beauty and harmony. Artist and curator Paula Gulbicki has used textiles, garments and accessories that she has collected for more than fifty years to create the wall hangings.

I’ve finished this project. I don’t have continuous denim fabric to make the backing, so it becomes a patchwork of many denim leftover. Extra joy from the front handle.

I sewed like a fiend today. Can I just say my LEAST favorite quilt border of all time is the piano keys border (sewing bunches of little strips together) because THEY NEVER FIT (so don't look too closely). I filled out the label request and sent it off. DONE! #quiltsky #nmaiquiltalong

Finished quilt top from four different blocks: bison, Hawaiian block, hand on diamond background, circular motif with a variation of Seminole border.
