I do! Colleen from Hot Wings and Sauciness is autistic (neurosaucy?), and the entire book is from her POV!

Herb and Gerri from Iris and the Crew are written as autistic (I put a lot of me into them). Although, I could argue that many of the characters are neurofabulous.

Maggie is autistic, and both hyperactive and inattentive ADHD, with a helping of PTSD and OCD for flavor
Roe is autistic, with inattentive ADHD, and they are a very soothing partner

Bonus answer, they are both asexual and aromantic and they're in a queer platonic relationship 🥰

Absolutely! In my 1st book, both MCs have CPTSD & 1 has hypervigilant perceptiveness. A side char has ADHD but only a few ppl will catch the signs. 😅

In my WIP, my FMC has dyscalculia & anxiety disorder, & my MMC has scent sensitivity & context-specific dyspraxia.

Yes! Although it's not addressed in the book, Levi is def on the spectrum. It's particularly evident in social interactions where he relies on scripts. He's most comfortable when he's in Prophet Mode, using canned replies. & moving his body is a stim, which is why he runs so much.

My second book, Tools of the Trade, will be dedicated to “everyone who has ever struggled with social cues” so it’s safe to say the answer is yes.

I usually wait to see what other people think about my highly-relatable self-inserts before declaring whether my characters are neurodivergent. #SpoonieAuthChat

#SpoonieAuthChat If I wrote something, just assume that everyone is neurodivergent and queer unless specified, that will go faster.

@spookyxpickle.bsky.socialSep 29, 2026, 2:59 PM

#SpoonieAuthChat I do have Neurodivergent characters in my stories and books!

Not all of them are, but many are. I am some sort of ND for sure, so that ends up in my writing.

I also want to, in future writing, represent different types of ND (without tokenism, of course).
