We had a great time during our #MeetUp with @59nationalparks.bsky.social at Theodore Roosevelt NP & also at the new Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library! Like me, Don is also on a quest to find all the Mather Plaques. Not sure how many he has so far, but he found 2 on this trip! #ParkChat

We found a great site at Medicine Rocks State Park, #Montana this morning! Scenery, wildlife and quiet all in abundance. The camping looked awesome too! Look for these places as travel to the National Parks. #ParkChat

A11: I was really moved by the Chamizal NMEM in TX. I'm not sure what I'd add to it. They do a good job highlighting the successful resolution of a 100-year boundary dispute between the US & Mexico. This was very important & I'd never heard of it! So maybe I'd like it promoted more! #ParkChat

We visited the Manhattan Project site in Hanford, WA. It's a small site focused on people who lived & worked there. It had an entertaining Geiger counter display & trivia on how much food they went through in a day. Having photos of the destruction caused by the bomb would be good to add. #ParkChat

A10: We're on a quest to visit every NPS site, so we'll get there. I find every park we visit either inspires or educates me. #ParkChat

This is why it's important to take pictures, as you did, so that when signage disappears we will still have a record of what was once there. #ParkChat

So true! Especially finding out which plants, insects, birds, etc. are endemic to a park. This particular milkweed is found only at Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park in Kanab, UT. There's also an elusive endemic beetle there! #ParkChat

A6: Learning about ALL of the people who used a site over time. At Pipe Spring NM in AZ, many groups used the natural spring over thousands of years. Today this site is managed jointly between the NPS and the Kaibab Band of Paiute Indians, who honor the stories of past native inhabitants. #ParkChat
