A pair of Cinnamon Teal ducks floating on the golden-brown and blue water of a pond at Ellis Creek wetlands in Petaluma, California, during the golden hour in December. The male has a vivid rusty-red body with a long black bill, red eye, and a black back and rear. The female was brown and white, with intricate buff and darker brown patterns, brown head, a dark eye with a black eye stripe, and a long black bill. There was light brown dead foliage with a reddish tint from the sun lining the edge of the pond.
