10/3 - Videogames!

When Wolves of Tukayyid dropped for #Mechwarrior5Clans , stomping around a city in my Warhawk feeling invincible, when a Black Knight 9 (yknow with a SWORD) jumpscares me and shrugs off 4 full alphastrikes - unrecorded was my screaming as I backpedaled 😅

Day Three of #mechtober #battletech and its Video Games! Where I started from with the universe, the earliest games and leading the MechWarrior series and where we are today.

#mechtober continues with the Battletech video games! I did not play much of the Harebrained game but found it’s opening cutscene fascinating & made me wanna learn more about the setting’s timeline.

MW5 Mercenaries is very fun & challenging at times. Clans I haven’t played much but really enjoy it!

Day3 #mechtober oh, how I'd love to have a tactical, round based Battletech game with state-of-the-art graphics and storyline. With multiple DLCs set in various timelines. As good as #mechwarrior 5 is, it's more arcade than a realistic combat simulator (still love it, brilliant game)

#mechtober day 2

Day Two of #mechtober #battletech and Alpha Strike. The interloper stealing valuable resources from Classic! An expensive way to get more CGL minis! Seriously though Aces and Scouring Sands finally turned my opinion around on AS, will never replace standard play, just a different scale to things.

#MechTober 2 - Alpha Strike

Most of my Alpha Strike games happen at tournaments. The biggest, Southern Assault, is coming up in about a month, and I'll be there again this year. Whether you'll be there or not, you can donate to the annual Crab-Back charity game: dd.extra-life.org/teams/74875

also i'm very proud of how my minis from the Aces box came out. And slightly angry because i had such fun painting nasty Jade Falcons...Clan Wolf plot armor for life 🐺

Day 2- Alpha Strike!
A quick game with my buddy at Congregate turned into a conga line of death! :) (my guys are blue)

10/2 - Alpha Strike Gameplay!
This week started Aces Scouring Sands! I'm an AS novice still, but the Aces campaign system has us excited - only did the simulator mission so far (10/10 VP btw, to humble brag). The groupchat is now in deep deliberation building our merc company😂

Alpha Strike: I really want to like it, but the standard dice rolls are something I highly dislike as well as the sheets(cards). To me, it loses its individuality for each mech and that hinders me. That being said, I love playing it with my kids!

Alpha Strike is great because I field so many more units, and units I wouldn't field in Classic. I like the speed of play, true LOS, terrain, plus how it plays like a traditional wargame.
And let's not forget ACES, where I can play solo!
