No, he had Carlos Mendoza own it, despite his own words today…

We had an environment with uncapped downside risks, combined with an inability to make in season adjustments, and injuries on top of that.

Here's also hoping that David Stearns is able to remove his head from the vice grip of his own sphincter and learn from his mistakes, and that Steve Cohen is willing to take charge if needed. No more messing around or I will personally deposit both of them into the nearest volcano. 🤨 #LGM #MetsSky

Thought about writing a postmortem for the 2026 Mets, but honestly, why bother. Good riddance to this terrible, horrible, no good, very bad season. Here's hoping the rookies are the real deal, everybody stays reasonably healthy, and we get a few lucky bounces in 2027 (or whenever). 🧡💙 #LGM #MetsSky

Personally, I would be very happy not to hear anymore about Pete Alonso. I’m pleased that despite his massive production, his team finished last and fell short of the WC. Also pleased Texas missed the playoffs. I don’t want to see ex Mets succeed.
