Sie betreiben jetzt Wein- und Ackerbau nachhaltig mit reduzierter Bodenbearbeitung, um den Boden zu schützen und Humus aufzubauen. Der Junglandwirt setzt auf den Anbau von vielfältigen Zwischenfrüchten und Nutzhanf, um langfristig Kohlendioxid (CO2) zu binden. Nutzhanf ist trockentolerant, benötigt keine Pflanzenschutzmittel, fördert die Bodenfruchtbarkeit und kommt gut mit Trockenheit zurecht. Auf 8 von insgesamt 75 Hektar landwirtschaftlicher Fläche baut Brinkmann Winterhanf an, der je nach Witterung im Februar/März geerntet wird. Die Hanffasern werden in der Dämmstoff- und Faserindustrie verwendet.
