#FridayReads I Liked Rex, by Diane Williams. Very short stories that stick with you a long time.
#FridayReads Unraveller by Frances Hardinge. YA fantasy set in a world in which cursing is the most feared of crimes. As usual with Hardinge, detailed world-building and a complex plot.
#fridayreads IRONWOOD by Michael Connelly, THE BEST AMERICAN MYSTERY AND SUSPENSE 2025, guest edited by Don Winslow & REACHER: THE STORIES BEHIND THE STORIES by Lee Child, read by Lee Child and Jeff Harding
Thanks Gabino! #FridayReads Counted With the Dead is Frankenstein set in the racial and social turmoil of 80s Detroit. A reformed hitman desperate to earn absolution for his crimes must go to war with the vengeful beast created from the bodies of his past victims.
Thanks Gabino! I'm in a weird anthology full of weirdos #FridayReads

Happy #FridayReads and Heritage Month, hermano! My immigration play, WAITING FOR GODÍNEZ (University of New Mexico Press), is a Finalist for the International Latino Book Awards in the Luis Valdez Best Play or Collection of Plays category. Winners will be announced October 3.
Happy Hispanic Heritage Month! May you see many sales.
For #FridayReads and with Hallowe'en approaching, I'll share my usual queer horror comedy. It's a silly book, but it also swallowed my soul, probably 😂
Morning, Gabino.
Sometimes people talk shit about my books. #FridayReads
Happy #FridayReads, and thank you Gabino!
I’ve been stricken with some angry god’s ire like my name is Job or something (shingles ain’t pretty nor comfy).
Let me frighten you with my ephemeral and ethereal hauntings and maybe you’ll have some kind words to leave in whatever sands you travel.
On Wednesday, "Hannah and Other Stories" will celebrate three years since its release! Why not help me celebrate by grabbing your own copy of this spooky collection full of ghosts, budding serial killers, and carnivorous horses?
Happy #FridayReads! Thanks Gabino. Shibboleth SCIF 01.a is out now, a fictional underground newspaper of high strangeness, the weird unknown, and more. For sale on Itch.io, austinRwilson[dot]com or Patreon www.patreon.com/AustinRwilso... Art pictured by Luca Vassallo, all words by me, zero "A.I."
#FridayReads: Alison Leiby’s funny and insightful essay collection structured around “I’m” statements (“I’m child-free,” “I’m in pain”). Inspiring that she isn’t always the “right” one in her stories. She shares an insight on her great one-woman show not getting a pro shot. Which I too was upset by.
Thanks Gabino! #FridayReads crowd, if you're looking for an atmospheric horror story, than check out "Agoraphobia." It's the story of a man too afraid to leave his home during a hurricane... until the hurricane throws something into his home. Something alive!
My #FridayReads.
I *love* @jvl.bsky.social's foreword. I don't know @sarahlongwell25.bsky.social IRL, but I've been listening to her on multiple podcasts for 5 years (gateway: the pandemic "A French Village" podcast she co-hosted w/ @benjaminwittes.lawfaremedia.org). I sense that JVL's take is 💯.
It’s #FridayReads time and Hispanic Heritage Month, so let’s share books and boost all signals. Repost this and let us know what to repost for you. Here’s a paragraph from Coyote Songs (only $2.99!). You know, for no reason at all. Go ahead, share what you love!
Fantasy is usually not my thing, unless clad in leather, but I read an obituary for John Crowley that called Little, Big (@WmMorrowBook) his masterpiece. I’m easily swayed or curious, depending on how generous one’s opinion is, and so here I am. #FridayReads
