The Henry VIII mania was most likely because CBS had aired the highly rated 6 part BBC miniseries “The Six Wives of Henry VIII” every Sunday, beginning Aug 1, concluding just 10 days before on Sept 5.

#Bewitched

Interesting trivia that I discovered in regards to the S8 premiere of #Bewitched. ABC moved ‘Bewitched’ to its new time on Wed at 8 PM EST. At the same time CBS moved ‘The #CarolBurnettShow,’ now beginning S5, directly opposite ‘Bewitched,’ 55 years ago tonight (9/15/71). Coincidentally, one…1/🧵

2/2…several versions of a #PebblesDoll to mark the occasion and Tabatha ended up with one. This is because #HannaBarbera, who created ‘the #Flintstones’ also animated the opening credits of #Bewitched.

It’s the 4th sighting of the Pebbles Flintstone doll in Tabatha’s nursery! And the first in color! From #Bewitched S3s “Nobody’s Perfect” which aired 60 years ago tonight.
In S3 of ‘the #Flintstones’ baby Pebbles is born in “the Blessed Event” which aired 2/22/63. The Ideal Toy Company released…1/🧵

2/2…the collection. I love the box design and inclusion of pics of Liz on it.

If you ever watch ‘Gidget’ you'll see that she has this same doll in her bedroom, usually sitting atop her TV. I wonder if Sally Field kept it?

61 years ago the #IdealToyCompany released a #Bewitched Samantha #doll. This is my Ideal Samantha doll in a recreation box. But the doll is the original from 1965. I won it as the grand prize in "The Twitch is Right" game at the 2008 Bewitched Fan Fare. It's one of my favorite pieces of…1/🧵

65 years ago tonight (9/15/61), #ElizabethMontgomery appeared in the S3 premiere of ‘The #TwilightZone’ with Charles Bronson in the episode entitled "Two." Her entire performance was done without speaking except to say "pretty" in Russian. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it.

Elizabeth was nominated nine times over the course of her career, five of them for ‘Bewitched.’

Although #ElizabethMontgomery never won an #Emmy, she accepted the award for #MarionLorne who won posthumously for her role as Aunt Clara on #Bewitched. The 20th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards took place May 19, 1968, a mere 10 days following Marion’s death.

A great "culluh" photo of Agnes holding her Emmy that she won for her guest starring role on ‘The Wild, Wild West.’ She should've also won for Endora at least once in the eight seasons.

In honor of the #Emmys tonight here is #AgnesMoorehead with the Emmy she won in 1967 for Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Drama for her role on ‘The Wild Wild West.’ The man is #RobertCulp. I love the look on Lizzie’s face.

Costume designer to the stars, #BobMackie, has died at age 87. Whenever you saw a star in feathers, sequins, form fitting, and beads, it most likely was created by Bob Mackie.
