#AwesomeCharacters So for this crew this one very much comes from cultural stuff - oaths are *massively* important in Sacaask culture, so all of them would generally land very heavily on the honour side of the equation there (possibly surprisingly, this very much includes Sabbat).

In theory, honor means a lot to Caldyr, she all about truth and justice, but in practice some rules might be flexible.

Caldyr would be hard on herself at first, but Vanth is a horrible enabler who would help a (good hearted) friend justify anything to make her feel better.

Serara could break *some* rules, but not her oath.

In his own opinion, Zaki doesn't have any honor to uphold and will gladly break rules and oaths alike to get results. (Shh, no one tell him he's breaking the rules to uphold one of his oaths 😉)

That's a really difficult one, because it's more situation specific than character specific. I don't think there are any of my lot who would drop their morals for personal gain. That doesn't mean they wouldn't act against their own values under any circumstances...

Setsune has very little honor. The only people keeping her from becoming a monster are her wife and second daughter, who geel the need to help her maintain her soul

Emily would want to maintain her honor--but to her, her honor is being a hero to those in need, so she'll do whatever she has to for that~

Koujaku's definitely results. She'll keep her friends safe, even if she has to be shady to do it.

I'd say Nanashi's also results. Like if

Ah, this is an easy one. 😂 Honor is of absolutely no consequence to either the antagonist or protagonist of Ingénue. In fact, their mutual disregard for the rules endears them to each other. They'll happily lie, cheat, and steal to achieve their ends. #AwesomeCharacters #WriteSky #WritingCommunity

A complicated question for Felix! He’s a witch and there are rules he’s supposed to follow, but he’s willing to bend them to help others if he can. As long as he doesn’t completely break it. It would be betraying the source of his magic to completely break the rules!

Honor for most of my characters. The unfortunate part is some of them have different ideas of what honor is. Some mistake pride for honor as well.

In Thalia's case, she pushing back against lies and corruption, which impugns the honor of other people with way more power.

Everyone on the Paxos would be like, seriously? Against fascists? They have no honour. Our results -are- honourable.

Ask Kallista this question and she'll cry 🥲

Virgil is results, but not hi how you think.

The Trolley Problem is simple to Virgil. He wouldn't pull the lever, he'd simply run at the trolley.

His pride makes everyone his *responsibility* and so when someone gets hurt, he *let* it happen.

Wren will lie, steal, cheat, etc. if it means keeping people she cares about safe. There are lines she won't cross and she prefers to lie to the bad people, not her friends, but overall, she doesn't lose sleep over breaking laws or social norms.

Sundale is in a way asking this himself. So it's a genuine question at the moment. Even I am not 100% sure.

Jason Harlem would hold tight to his morals and vows. "Protect and serve, honor and uphold, no matter the cost." The Interstar motto, and he holds it tightly.

This one depends on the MC. Most wouldn't dream of breaking their honor or oaths to accomplish a goal. Toma in particular would rather commit ritual suicide.

Gino, Cacovis, Cecilia, & Vildrik, though, wouldn't have a problem at all with it if it meant getting things done.

This is a lot of Ryo’s struggle. Questions of duty and autonomy, and what you owe to who and why, are the engine of his arc. What do you do when two duties conflict? Or when obedience is not morally right? Or when a higher duty replaces a lower one? #AwesomeCharacters #writesky #writingcommunity

Saida is lucky because she gets to make up the rules. ;) She has already found she has to act against her inner values because she doesn’t always know if her decisions will hurt people, but it’s her job to decide. So it’s results for her.

Taegen: Mostly, she cares about results. She believes her honor and ethics died with her people. She's... not QUITE accurate about that.
Kyoka: HOW she does things is vitally important to her. Otherwise a LOT of people die.
