I spot spotted leaves;
A Polka Dot Begonia!
Will you bloom for me?
Will you, will you, pretty
please?
I love your polka dot
leaves.

Beaks the key to capturing prey,
foraging, feeding.
Elaborate courtship displays
tap and bow, bright offering.
Constructing nests
from scattered twigs and branches,
needed to drive jackdaws away
or to pilfer what their sharp eyes capture.

She led a nice, simple life. But in her heart, she dreamed of flight.

Of air and #clouds. Barometrics. Climb.

She set out one day, on a wing (and a prayer). Into the sky.

Way out on the endless horizon.
