Slurp! This beaded gecko was snapped in the act of cleaning its eyeball with its tongue. Most geckos do not have movable eyelids – licking them keeps them clean and free of sand and debris.

These striking moths can be seen around Australia. This one was seen in a coastal area around 150km north of Perth in early September.
