I was caught off guard when I asked what I had ate last night. It felt like I was being spoken to by a human and my heart honestly dropped #whoistalking
#whoistalking I think the interview succeeded because it was able to get me thinking about why I love to capture moments on my camera, but also the fact that not everything needs to be recorded and there are moments where I don't have to document everything, I can keep it for myself
#whoistalking I think I started to feel strange with myself when I realized how much I had been taking pictures for the sole purpose of them being posted and getting likes. I think you can see that in my responses when I start to admit that I am only utilizing the camera for how it will come off
#whoistalking Where I started to feel myself perform coherence was at the end of the interview, when the question truly just asked me why I take pictures solely for myself, and it got me to realize the moments that I want to continue living off of my phone and off the camera
#whoistalking I think my answers started to take longer for me to think about and they started to highlight the fact that I am not really proud of how media consumed I have become, but the questions allowed me to think about how I can look at these things and pictures in a different way
#whoistalking The version of me the interview produced was the one that is self-conscious about how she might be perceived in the media. I realized I always feel the need to fix something about my appearance when the interviewer asked why I feel the need to take so many of the same photo
By the end I kept coming back to the idea that I'm always trying to make me more manageable. My hair, the way I look, how I talk, even the way I think. I didn't go into the interview thinking that's the thing I'd notice about myself, but somehow everything kept circling back to it. #whoistalking
The question abt how I tell stories when I’m comfortable felt the most me. I thought abt how I will stop in the middle of a sentence, explain something from years ago, imitate someone’s voice, and then somehow expect the other person to know what I’m on about. That felt rly accurate. #whoistalking
I got kind of annoyed when the interview kept asking me to pick one exact moment for things that felt more like patterns. That was when I interrupted it and changed the rule. That made me realize how interviews try to make everything sound neat and explainable, when it really isn't. #whoistalking
One part that felt weird was realizing how different I sound depending on who I’m around. When I’m comfortable, I’m loud and go on random tangents, but when I feel judged, I become way more careful. I knew that about myself, but I don’t think I realized how extreme the difference was. #whoistalking
I thought the hair thing was going to be such a random answer, but it ended up being one of the biggest parts of the interview. I was just talking about fixing my hair and then suddenly I was talking about confidence and how I act in certain spaces. That definitely caught me off guard. #whoistalking
I feel like overall the interview was a success because it truly touched on two big parts of my life, my brothers and my education. I think that it was able to get a good understanding of who I am from those 10 questions, therfore successful. #whoistalking
I dont think that I ever truly became strange to myself becuase everything i spoke about was very close to me. It was either about my childhood, my brothers, or my overall structure of life when it comes to school and responsibility. #whoistalking
I felt like I was performing coherence around question 3 when it started getting into my memories about my childhood and also when it talked about me being the oldest of 4. I feel like this is becuase it is my everyday life and it is so easy to talk about. #whoistalking
My own answers started getting me to expand more and more and to go more into detail than i expected. At first I was just trying to reach the 120 word minimum but as I kept writing I found myself having to catch myself when writing so much to not go over. #whoistalking
The version of me that this interview produced was the older brother and responsible version of me. It touched upon how I take care of things, my brothers, and my studies. It also got me to talk about how I am very strict on myself with school and studies. #whoistalking
The interview definitely changed as it went on. At first, I was just answering questions, but eventually I started taking it in different directions. By the end, I felt like I was learning things about myself as I answered. #whoistalking
The question about getting lost without my phone was probably when I felt the strangest thinking about myself. I could actually picture myself refusing to ask for directions right away and trying to figure it out on my own first which was funny when I started writing. #whoistalking
I noticed myself trying to make everything connect and have some deeper meaning. I was probably making my life sound more organized than it actually is. I do not normally think about how every habit connects to who I am, but the interview made me try to put those pieces together. #whoistalking
Something I did not expect was how detailed my answers started to get. I was just answering the questions, but then I started actually picturing myself in these situations; I could actually imagine the music playing and just following whatever roads looked familiar. #whoistalking
