Goal Spain!

This one will count. And, it looks like another Belli error.

Cross takes a deflection, but Belli is well positioned to push the ball over the cross bar. Instead she pushes the ball into her own net.

Likely a Belli own goal.

Here's the play. Foul right at the beginning.

But a well-worked goal otherwise.

Goal overturned. Foul in the buildup.

#U20WWC:

VAR confirms that Spain's goal has been overturned due to Irune shoving an Italian player during the build-up of the goal.

Relief for Italy

Goal Spain!

They've had Italy trapped, and the slip Alba Cerrato on goal, and she finishes past Belli.

But VAR has called the ref over for a possible foul on Spain, and I think this is getting overturned.

Italy are having a spell of possession, but they're struggling to make anything of it. They eventually work up the left and find Appiah, but she's muscled off the ball by her defender (and maybe a high arm), and Spain are back in control.

Two big saves from Belli!

First, she makes a diving save on a good free kick. May have curved wide, but Belli couldn't be sure. From the ensuing corner, Spain work a chance inside the box, and Belli makes a nice kick save.

Spain just wide.

Spain remain well in control of the match, as Italy struggle to get the ball forward.

Spain just worked a possession that ended with Pau sending a shot from just outside the penalty box just wide of goal.

Dangerous chance for Spain.

They find Daniela Agote just outside the 6-yard box, but she sends her shot wide of target.

Early danger from Spain.

Italy, on the whole, have played well, but their keeper, Elena Belli, as been error prone.

You suspect Italy will need Belli to on top of her game today to get past Spain.
