Doombreak already had filtered Instagram ā DMs without Reels. Now YouTube keeps Search and Subscriptions but cuts Shorts, and TikTok keeps Following but loses For You. Same trick, noisier apps. I needed my evenings back from both.
Factly lets you share the fact that made you snort, in one tap, into a message. Knowledge as a cheap gift. Better than a link you'll both ignore. š¤
I named an app Doombreak because Screen Time helper didn't sound like something I'd open on a weeknight. Names are product. If you won't say it out loud, keep typing.
TV Tracker is my 'where was I' app. Search shows, posters in a library, mark episodes, calendar of what's next. Notes, ratings, favorites. All free, powered by TVmaze. How it's going: it's the app I actually check before bed.
Analytics in Daily Streaks is me vs me. 348 days logged, best streak 89, Grace Day so one miss doesn't torch it. Yoga's wearing gold, water's silver, stretch is 50 and 100% this week. Medals because competing with strangers made me quit.
I kept putting closing costs and affordability in different corners of Irish Property. Stacking them on the same sale felt like admitting they were answering the same nervous question.
Sale detail in Irish Property now puts Stamp duty & closing costs right under the sold price, then Can I afford this? underneath ā salary needed beside the solicitor bill. Same sold home, two answers.
Home Screen Shield is a dark square that won't let me forget the session. Big timer, tiny green line: tap for mindful unlock. I check it the way I used to check likes. Better habit. ā±ļø
Daily Streaks can live on the Home Screen ā today's progress, best streak, the habit you're pretending isn't the main one. I glance while the kettle boils. That's the whole relationship.
Still tab-hopping five feeds like it's 2019?

I keep rewriting what "no snooze" means. In Sunrise Alarm it is a tiny quest ā answer or stretch ā then the day. Mean alarms are so 2014.
Reworked Factly so it feels like a tiny morning ritual again ā one fact a day, tap if you want another, share the one that made you smile. Reminder so you don't miss it. Learning that 'small and daily' is harder to get right than it sounds.
Settings in Daily Streaks is where I hide the personality. Light on, uppercase off ā I am not yelling at my own water. Haptics off. Classic list, not Compact. The gentle nudge stays Off because I already live here.

Doombreak is the one I built because Reels kept winning. Pick the apps, start a session, iOS actually shields them. Instagram can stay DMs and profiles without the feed. Completely free. How I'm doing: still using it myself.
Shield Money will show runway ā how long the money lasts if nothing changes. Adult version of checking the milk. Slightly terrifying, extremely useful, and I wish I'd had it at 24.
I used to come home from a week away and watch my habit streak die of neglect. Vacation mode in Daily Streaks just pauses. Reminders shut up. You get back, you continue. Apparently I needed permission to go on holiday.
Irish Property is me staring at the Price Register until it made sense. Browse sales, map, town compare ā and on a sale you can tap 'can I afford this?' with the salary you'd need. Still learning how much context is enough.
