Well, Day 1 of #PRGE IS about to end in 5 minutes I'll see you all tomorrow! The real fun begins on Saturday and Sunday.

This is one cool Dragon animatronic that is from an Arcade in Molalla, OR! #PRGE #PRGE2026

Come visit our booth at #prge this weekend!

From the home test it seems to work, and so does the six-button controller I got for $5, so we're in business. But not done. All that's left is the Everdrive for around $275!

Hmm. Is $70 a fair price for a Model 1? I don't know as much about the market value of Sega stuff as I do about Nintendo's, but I do know Super NESes these days are priced above $100. This is also the only Naked Jenny I saw today so...I bought it.

You don't realize how hard it is to find an actual retro console at PRGE until you actually look for one. This is one of the few tables that had plain consoles out in the open. But guess what's NOT here?
#PRGE #PRGE2026

The problem is, I'm not looking for a "collector's" version of one. I don't need it with the box, I don't need it bundled with the Sega CD and 32X, I just need a Genesis that works, so I can actually use it. Most of these vendors aren't catering to that market.
#PRGE #PRGE2026

This year I'm shopping for one thing only: I can't leave this con without a Sega Genesis. The reason: thanks to MD Engine I can make games for it now, but I can't test them on real hardware unless I have it. Nothing so far...
#PRGE #PRGE2026

Yup, they work pretty well.

I don't care that these magnets are 3D printed. They're priced right and they look cool.

The Yakult booth is unstaffed. Quick, grab all the Yakult!
#PRGE #PRGE2026

Friday is, of course, less crowded, but there's a reason for that. I myself couldn't make it until I finished writing all the NYCC news stories, which meant I couldn't stroll in until 3:30 PM. Wonder how many people were here in the morning.
#PRGE #PRGE2026

I've never gone on the first day until now, because only the arcade is open on Friday. But I've heard that changed, and now nearly all of the expo is open on Friday. They were right. In fact, that change appears to have been made years ago. Wonder what I missed.
