Not a good sports night. #Steelers #Phillies

The #Phillies have no one to blame but themselves. Get crushed in game 3. Seasons over. Let’s vent

youtu.be/tqNs0tjAt0g?...

Man spare a thought for the #Phillies. They didn't quit, they gave it their all, they told me as much.

The #Phillies’ season is over. It’s another year of heartbreak and questions. What now?

"It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone." #Phillies

Heartbreak In The ATL: #Phillies Fall To Braves In Game 3 Of Wild Card Series Ending 2026 Season

130 days until pitchers and catchers report. 😭 #phillies

Ded October. #Phillies

Alright #Phillies pitchers, here’s a new move I’d like you to tinker with this offseason.

Whenever JT pushes PitchCom buttons in your ear next year, try this:

See you someday baseball 🫡 Enjoy killing the golden goose with your inane push for a salary cap! #Phillies

The Braves were not THAT much better. Their middle relief on paper was far stronger, but the difference in this series was that some guy named Ray Kerr outpitched Aaron Nola, because any random lefty has owned this team almost all season #Phillies

Bottom line: this team was just not good enough. Their best shot was to ride their three aces, and that plan was blown up by having to burn Wheeler in the finale. #Phillies

2022 lost in World Series. 2023 lost in NLCS. 2024 lost in NLDS. 2025 lost in NLDS. 2026 lost in NL Wild Card Series.

Do the Philadelphia #Phillies make the playoffs in 2027 (or whenever the next MLB Postseason occurs)?

And with that, the #Phillies season comes to a disappointing conclusion.

Changes need to happen, but given the contracts, I’m just not sure how they can be made. Firing Mattingly and/or Dombrowski won’t change the underperforming and overpaid core. We’re stuck with them for the foreseeable future.

The Phillies are great at beating bad and mediocre teams.

Put a contender on the field and they fold like a cheap tent!
(Need proof: See the last week of the season against Tampa Bay and the Brewers. Oh yeah, the Braves this week!)

#Phillies

Crazy to have both my teams out in a matter of 24 hrs but better than on the same day I guess. There’s truly nothing like baseball season and how it gets me through as an immunocompromised housebound person. I’ll miss it and I hope the lockout doesn’t go too long. #Cubs #Phillies

The “window” is closed. Very very disappointing; Nola, Turner, Harper, Realmuto, the entire bullpen and Dombrowski. Just blow it up.
#WildCard

I had low expectations for the Phillies in the playoffs, and they decided to live up to them. Hope there's a lot of changes coming in the off-season. #Phillies
