I #pray 2da frm Heb. 1.3: Sustain us by Ur word, dear #Christ! Wth "woke" such a pejorative 4 many, I smile at Machado choosing "Wakeup" as #Jesus' word. Wht's His answer 2 ths #prayer 4 u 2da? Wth wht word does He sustain u in these troubled times? Or is He the Word, itself, tht holds us? #PCUSA

I #pray 2da frm #Psalm 104.2: Wrap us in Ur #light, dear #Christ! The #Bible here imagines #God wrapped in light. I felt myself wrapped in light & felt so safe there, making ths my #prayer. My mind shifted 2 #Jesus expanding on Himself as the light 2 the world. I feel even safer. Follow me? #PCUSA

I #pray 2da frm Titus 3.8: Devote us 2 good works, dear #Christ! Paul in the #Bible here expects us 2 devote rselves 2 good works. My #prayer makes ths a partnership between us & #Jesus. How's He nudge u 2 good works 2da? & I tend 2 c #God as an audience of 1. Do u know wht I mean? #PCUSA #faith

I #pray 2da frm Isa. 22.23: Fasten us in a secure place, dear #Christ! Of course security came 2 mind on ths 25th anniversary of 9/11. The ubiquitous excuse of "national security" as grounds 4 every authoritarian action makes ths my #prayer 2da. Where's #Jesus' secure place 4 u? Nearby? #PCUSA #God
