Preparing for Wildwood. #LFF
#bestfilminlondontoday: #LFF picks: Day 5 (Sun Oct 11) 'stunning coming-of-age story of young love and sexual tension' @peterbradshaw1.bsky.social. Marine Atlan’s impressive first feature LA GRADIVA at BFI Southbank capitalcelluloid.blogspot.com/2026/09/capi...
Trains & screening times have made this a silly early #LFF start today but it’ll be worth it with the absolutely stacked day ahead.
On today’s rundown we got the newest Laika joint, Robert Pattinson hunting pedos & some 17th century Sandra Hüller goodness. Get that coffee in me & let’s get going! ☕️
#LFF - RAY GUNN
A new Brad Bird movie is always a delightful occasion, and this is a very fun one! As much a love letter to Bogart-era film noir as it is to retro sci-fi, this is an inventive and visually splendid treat that is, to use an overused pun, out of this world.
"To see Carrie Coon at her best makes this complex, often unnerving feature worth it."
Read @bethanylola.bsky.social's review of Guy Nattiv's THE LIBERATION and don't miss it at the BFI London Film Festival! 🔥😍

ALL OF A SUDDEN: wrote a lot that can't be said in a tweet, but the film is a masterpiece. I don't use this term often, but EVERYONE needs to see this film, and humanity would be better for it. #LFF
Ray Gunn is classic Brad Bird, I’ve missed this angle of animation, when it feels like someone wants to make a film that happens to be animated #LFF
Carrie Coon is devastatingly brilliant as Holocaust survivor and cult victim Rita Cooper in Guy Nattiv’s fictionalised account of his own grandmother’s life.
The Liberation reviewed:
GODZILLA MINUS ZERO: lovely awkward title, delightful in its carnage, too often a bit of a drag. My review for

October Challenge No 16: Nightborn (seen at #LFF)
Congratulations! It's a Creature of Folklore!
(Before you ask, yes, I do address a teeny issue with the cast in this one).
