I feel my friend Rob @robcrank68.bsky.social almost broke Bluesky today by proving what beautiful people inhabit this space. Thank you all for showing such humanity and kindness. I'm now feeling the love of so many strangers, who I now feel I know personally. I will read every message.

My lovely wife as a babe with her Mum in 1943, a treasured photo sent to her Dad, serving in North Africa, fighting the Nazis.

The picture I treasure most as we were at our happiest before illness began to take its toll. Love never did tear us apart, despite what my T-shirt says, as you can see by the smiles on our faces.

A final picture of the much-missed Roberto. He stayed on with me for six weeks after Janet's sudden death in January but then vanished, never to return.
